You can't get the bolt out or the pulley off? For the bolt I would suggest using a good impact. I take mine off with a 1000ft-lb impact. I also install all my bolts with red loctite so the heavy duty impact can become a necessity.

As sad as it is I think of that all the time at work. I've even been caught saying it out loud sometimes.

No its ft-lbs. I use it for everything. Great for taking off old rusted bolts or crankshaft bolts. I am a flat rate mechanic so time is money. The last thing I need is to spend 20 minutes trying to get a bolt off. The best thing about it is most people don't believe its all that powerful because it has no kick, weighs nothing, and is incredibly quiet. As soon as you put it on a stubborn bolt though you can see the power.

just use a strapwrench, wrap it around the pulley and u can use just hand tools if u want thats what i did, but if u swap the alternator ur def. gonna want the impact, but strapwrench is a huge lifesaver!
