i would say since you want to keep costs down as much as possible, if giving a pipe that dumps to the atm just include that. anyone, like myself, who wants it quieted down can easily take the car to a muffler shop and have them fab up a pipe and route it to the downpipe fairly cheaply. the manifold looks beautiful. the turbo really shows off the gold with the new angles too

YOU GUYS OWN ALL.

That being said, we'll probably be dumping the wastegate. Also, MAJOR thanks to turbo2liter for catching our wastegate idea/design. We put a lot of time and development into which manifold will work best for the money. The is nothing that can come close to this unit for quality and consistancy. There will be no spiking, creeping, or mis-alignment issues. All bevcause of a kick-___ design and a lot of well spent money.

It won't even be an option to reroute the waste back into the exhaust?

I like this design the most but I'd like quiet - the wastegate sound is NOT pleasing to my ears.

Draven, wastegates are not blow off valves - wastegates will open at high RPMs and stay open to let off waste boost; blow off valves open when letting off the throttle to rid the intake of harmful boost in deacceleration.

We'll see what our options are and determine if maybe both are possible. The more we do, the more it costs the end-user.

so i drove an srt4 tonight, my first real experience with a turbo car and i am sold. however its suspension does feel alot more solid that ours.... but what do you expedt for an extra 6k. On a performance level, will this kit have the same feel as an srt4?

Actually after doing some reading I gather that the open wastegate sound is like my old IROC R/T - vs. closed like my friend's Audi S4 - you can hear the turbo spool up at higher RPMs and is generally quieter - so given the choice between the two I'd go for closed myself. It also contains all of the soot produced. I love the sound of the turbo spool.

My gamer tag is "tC guy". Halo 2 owns haha...

But yeah, the external dump, though loud, is only loud at full boost. You literally have to floor it all the way down and have the turbo completely spooled for it to be loud. Other than that, it's just as quiet as without.

I like quieter myself.
However, I am not sure what sort of sound to expect. What sort of sound dose this produce? is it just a constaint rush air, or a blow off valve pssst? or what?

It's like a really fast farting noise - a little wet too.

This is what it sounds like.

That sound in the first pass is NOT the sound of the exhaust - the turbo will sound normally the way it would at the end of that video.

i dont know if this has been covered before, but what diameter is the dp going to be? im sure a lot of people picking up these kits are going with a full turbo-back exhaust at the same time, or eventually. are you going to use 2&1/2 like most the 4cyl turbo kits?
