As soon as testing is done and we're happy with the results, orders will be taken. Kits can be made pretty quickly after that because of the money we've already spent to get us to that level.

It will bolt up to the stock S-Pipe. As long as the Creative Compacts S-Pipe mounts at the same OEM location, it'll all bolt up perfectly. Our turbo-back exhaust is an option/upgrade. You will not be forced to buy the upgrade.

Forget the pre-order! We only need a deposit to order the stuff that's custom built (turbo, manifold, pipes). We are taking a deposit because all three of those are impossible or very hard to sell otherwise, so we need to at least lock you into that. Once the parts come in, we take the rest that is owed and ship your kit. It's a very efficient method and we're sure it'll work well.

Please do NOT dissapoint us Joe! I'm already selling my AW header so I can add the proceeds to my turbo fund. I wonder how your kit will work with my Injen exhaust soundwise and performance wise. Do I need to put that up for sale too or will it be okay? I also ordered the CC s-pipe but am still wating for it to be shipped.

Your existing ehaust will work fine with the kits. Our turbo-backs should make more power, which is why we're spending so much on development, but your exhaust is still functional with our kits.

As for tone, any exhaust bolted up to a turbo sounds pretty good. A turbo acts like a muffler on it's on and does a great job in reducing decibles and raspness.

Update 9/10/05!!
Pic is up of the Emanage Plug and Play harness kit. Testing will be done next week, and the first pre-order will ship after that. From there, expect all pre-orders to be finished in about 4-5 weeks. Limited time price still in effect, buy yours before the time is up...

You guys can expect some more results over the next week or two. We were shooting to finish the kit by this Friday but it looks like we're looking at closer to the Friday after. This is due to some fuel designs we're working on, and the charge pipe layout. We're keeping the front bumper on our kit (the actual metal part that protects you and your engine from a frontal crash) so the mounting and piping is a little bit more difficult than usual. Please bare with us. On a positive not, we haven't taken a cent from anyone but those who bought a pre-ordered harness. The harness will be shipping on the date as promised, so so far everything is under control. We've spent double digits worth of thousands of dollars in developing this kit for race and street use. When it's to the point where we want it (original goal of OEM quality fitment) we will then release the kit to the public. ETA for sale is now 3 weeks when we start taking orders. Thanks to all being patient with us, and start saving! In the mean time, if you're planning on buying a clutch with us at the same time as your turbo kit, PM me. We are willing to ship the clutches out in advance (and still give you the package price) so you may install the clutch before your turbo comes in. This allows you to properly break it in and to get used to it before you're pushing almost 300HP.

there is an interesting discussion in the thread greddy-emanage about how turbo kits are dealing with our returnless system. if you could share any input at this stage of development to how you are countering the returnless system to give appropriate fuel when under boost that would be great. it may be something you want to keep secret and i'm sure everyone would understand.

looking foreward to the final product

Are you recommending a cluch change with your 300 whp kit or is it included? Other kits, both of them, state that you can leave the stock clutch in for 300 whp applications but it will need to be changed later on (as in it won't last "long").

I just want to get your position on the clutch change situation and what clutch you would recommend for your 300 whp kit.

Why not? hmmm... it's not like you have to pull the tranny to install a turbo so I don't see why you would change it unless there was issues with it holding the power.

SS and ZPI both say that stock clutch will hold up to 300 whp, I was just asking Joe what was his opinion.

but you're buying a turbo kit to make the car perform (which it won't perform very well for very long with an oem clutch)... as cheap as the clutches are, i don't see any reason why not to pony up and install it.

it's your car though...

OK, I'm not planning on getting a turbo until after my warantee is up, but I need it to be street legal. Will there be a way to make it pass smog? Is the only reason why it won't pass that it throws a CEL? If it wont' pass smog, I may end up going with the Injen CAI and some custom exhaust piping, but i REALLY want a turbo on my daily driver, so it has to be street legal.

buy a turbo'd car from the factory otherwise you've got a lot of work ahead of you to make a smog legal turbo tC

I never understood this this kind of statement...we drive Toyota's people, chances are 90% of us will not even use our warranty to fix something w/ the powertrain, and if we do, its gonna be for such a minor problem that probly wouldnt cost more than $100 to fix anyway. Get your turbo while your motor is still good, not beat on for 60K miles. And as Matty said, forget the whole smog legal kit

As for smog legal...

Turbo's naturally "muffle" the exhaust and with the extra heat actually produces cleaner emissions. It's the pig-rich fuel under boost that hurts a lot. Our tunes use MAP based parameters, meaning a near stock fuel curve under no load (rpms high or not, the turbo won't be spooled on smog). We recirculate the crank-case to the intake which keeps that aspect legal. Our performance turbo-back exhausts come with a Cat to keep the car street legal and to keep anyone from risking a $2000 government fine (if no Cat is found by law enforcement). The cat keeps sound down, filters pollutants, and keeps your street legal. Our Catalytic converters do not hinder performance though, they benchmarker higher CFM capabilities than most mufflers on the market. So why not keep things legal? We also keep the OEM front bumper enforcement to keep the car legal in case of a frontal accident.

The only thing you need to do to keep it 100% legal is to weld a pipe connecting the Tial wastegate to the new downpipe. We designed our kits to support this with very little money in labor, and we'll provide the flange at a very affordable price.

All in all, we've spent thousands of dollars, and MONTHs of time developing, planning, contimplating, tinkering, designing this kit. I could go on. If things aren't right, we won't release it. It's something we're not taking a risk on. We pride ourselves with quality and our rapidly growing customer base shows it. Current projects coming up are for the new Cobalt, 06+ Civic, and the Supra powered IS300 setup we're working on.

Oh yeah, a clutch is great no matter what, even if you're stock. We reccommend upgrading the clutch no matter what, even before the turbo. It's a lot easier to properly break in a clutch on a 160hp motor vs a 300hp one.

I hope this helps everyone out with any concerns they have with this kit. I can't stress enough how many hours we've spent (between two of us) to get things where we want it. Our donor car got a free exhaust and lowering springs for his tC because of the unexpected delays and design time we need to finish the pipes. We'll take care of anyone we can, and until we can, no money will be taken towards the turbo kit. When it's something we can sell exactly as is, then the sale is on. Thanks again guys.

That's what I wanted to hear! I'm on board! I should be able to save up enough for the full kit along with clutch, exhaust and EBC as well as install by the time my warantee is up (the real reason why I'm waiting!) And if I do it after my smog check, I'll have the rest of the year to get the piping done to make it legal! Can't wait to see some numbers and completed install pics!

Joe, you speak of keeping the bumper properly attached, but i was wondering if your fmic piping requires the bumper to be cut (much like the zpi fmic)? Also, i know over on your "buyer's list" thread you want us to tell you exact options we want. Is tial the only bov you are able to use on your kit? I know a while ago you had discussed using a greddy type s or rs bov. Thanks for the continious updates.

Dezod's intercooler is completely custom designed for the tC to optimally take advantage of the stock and Kaminari bumper. It's big and beefy and fits well within the bumper.

At least that's what I read before.
