Ok we are pretty sure we have a tC donation thanks to this site! It will be going to Random Tech sometime soon.
Our manifold construction begins tomorrow, using a stainless manifold. We're also now planning on using the Tial BOV. It will not only match the engine bay very well (Tial wastegate) but it will keep the turbo kit at a price point we're aiming for. Too many components are making this kit cost more than we want, and we want the customers to be able to afford this kit!
Our intercooler showed up today, and our turbo is still being built in the Turbonetics warehouse. Hopefully we'll have more updates soon. Stay tuned.

Due to recent demands with other projects/products we sell, we're considering certain upgrades or options to offer you guys.
One was this: We're considering offering a matching 3" cat-back system, but using a flat-black muffler without the huger "canister" look for those looking for a sleeper/non-flashy setup. My question to you, would you buy such an upgrade?
If you think the flat-black is something that doesn't really work well, what would you like? Mind you this is only for our turbo kits and we currently do not anticipate making an NA version for a while.
EDIT: PIC of exhaust
Thanks for your help ladies and gents...

I like the "sleeper/non-flashy" look personally. While some like the HKS angle or big canister style exhausts, if I can avoid it without performance loss, I most certainly will try. I haven't decided if I like the flat black yet, still under consideration.
How goes the work for us folks with auto transmissions?
Keep it up Joe, got my eye on this thread, very impressed so far. =D

I'll try to get my hands on an auto tC to make sure I can bolt the kit up. If I have a local auto, I'll just test fit our protype to make sure we can do it.
For Auto owners: We are planning on trying to offer the kit to auto owners. The kits will have a lower psi spring in the wastegate to not risk damage to the tranny, a different tune, and probably come with a transmision cooler.

I kinda like the sleeper look too! I prefer it to be the same set-up as the stock or the TRD since it is located where the heat shield is. I just don't dig the picture you posted of the flat black. Is that available in stainless steel so it doesn't rust?

I cant wait til this gets released.............i think releasing a standard kit and then having upgrades is much better for someone like me who has never had a turbo car. as time goes on and i learn i can upgrade to the better BOV or wastegate or turn up the boost with a boost controller. i cant wait for dynos!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me everything is sized properly. We have everything about ready to go minus the charge pipes, downpipe, and manifold. Once that's done we're pretty much good to go ahead with testing and dyno'ing.
I'm glad you like the choice of upgrades. The Tial wastegate has a spring that's replaceable. The unit can go down to 3.63 psi. amd up to 14.5psi (1 bar). From there, you can add a boost controller to up the boost a little but for a faster spool (for you electronic boost controllers) and a controllable spike if you get any. Our kits are shipping out at 8.7 psi to keep things reliable, but upgradeable. We plan on dyno'ing the car at the rate 8.7psi so you know the numbers you'd get with your kit. We're also planning on dragging it with your psi rated kits to give you an accurate number to expect from yours.
The Dezod car is no way all out race. I want to make it possibly the fasted show car tC (minus Jotec of course). We have the Kaminari kit, 18x8s, a full custom audio system including dynamat, and some other misc goodies. It is no way the lightest tC out there. With the whole car as is (just a header and muffler) we ran a 15.9 at 88mph. We can't get this car off the line for the life of us. Hopefully I can buy a set of DRs to get more grip.
As for the BOV: I'd only replace it if you want a different sound. The Tial uses a HUGE diaphram so it definately flows more than enough air to keep the turbo going. It also has a spring specifically for our motor to not leak at idle, but hold quite an amount of boost (more than what a stock 2AZ is capable of).
More than turbo goodies and upgrades, we are quite a large vendor. We basically get any part for any car despite the fact that all of it is listed on the site. There's only one guy updating the site. Every day we add a couple more things. Expect all of our Toyota/Scion clutches and transmisison upgrades to be listed way before the turbo kits come out. Add that and the ability to upgrade your braking systems, fuel management, boost management, transmission, suspension, what ever you'd like, we can get.
There will be savings when upgrades/add-ons are purchased with the kit. After that we can more or less make suggestions on what to buy, and you can buy what you'd like.
I'm heading to the fab shop in a little bit so I may come back with a couple pics. See you guys this afternoon.

Our questions for you guys... Also asked earlier...
-Would you consider a stealthy flat black 3" exhaust to hide the bling, or still want something shiny?
-For the external wastegate: Would you like us to keep all the wastegtes silver or offer a couple extra colors? Which color would you want (anodized blue, red, purple, or black)?
-For the BOV: Same question as above? What color choice?

Joe:
1. Flat-black 3" exhaust sounds hot
2. Wastegates. I'm cool with just the silver not planning on showing whats up my baby's skirt, but to some of the guys who want to show what they got under the hood sure.
3. See above.

I don't really care about the colors of the waste gate and BOV, as long as they match. If I had to pick I'd say red and blue tie for first place, silver a very close second. I feel pretty neutral about black, and purple... well we'll just say purple's not my thing but I could live with it.
As far as the exhaust goes, I'm looking for an exhaust system that isn't loud. I'm more concerned with the sound level/note and performance than I am about the looks.
EDIT: Another note about the exhaust: I had a GReddy SP exhaust on my last car which was stainless, but it had a brownish-gold coating on it except for on the tip which was polished. I wouldn't have minded the coating had it not started flaking off after a year and looking like crap.
I'd prefer a stainless flat black exhaust with polished tip, but as long as the black coating isn't gonna start flaking off and looking like crap, I can settle for flat black all over including the tip.

Joe, I have a question here. what's your plan to keep the A/F ratio safe? What kind of electronic control that you spec out to ensure safe A/F?
btw, is there a way to predict how soon the turbo is going to spool by looking at the comp map? Or, do people usually do it by installing different sizes of turbine housing by trial and error?
