Exactly! It's up to the individual that owns the vehicle to do their homework to see what works or not.

hey everyone, just thought i'd share with everyone, i've been here for a while, just didn't post much, but over the weekend i just installed my s/c finally. i got some bearings from kik(very good parts) the s/c originally was for the 05-06. the thing is i have an 07. so for those that think the 05-06 won't fit on the 07+ is wrong, it can be done, only thing changed was the header, everything in the 05-06 kit will work. ill post pictures when i have more time.

the stock header runners is what didnt allow the 05-06 kit to fit to start.
but if you dont care about warrenty or anything then that is the solution, lol.

yea i know, im trying to find a stock 05-06 header right now. there shouldn't be any problem with swapping out oem headers. the bearings has all been changed out, im not going to look for warranty. all the stuff done on the car has been done by myself and out of own pocket from day one.

the s/c is the same for all years, just brackets sit slightly higher on the 07 for the header. injectors are the same also.

well thats all good and dandy .. but the question still remains .. if you show up at the dealership with a 05-06 s/c kit on a 07-09 will they let you reflash the ecu with the 07-09 program regardless if they are gonna warranty it or not.

so basically if have a 07-09, don't care about warranty and wanna save a grand or so its probably best to go with the 05-06 kit and just get the 07-09 reflash?

you'll have to also get a stock 05-06 or aftermarket header. the runners on the stock 07+ are in the way.

yeah well chances are if you don't care about your warranty you will already have header on your car lol

its good to know though that a header is all you need to run the 05-06 kit on a newer model

Yes, yes it is. Good information in here.

What about the brackets, though? I see earlier ones have some reliability issues, and that the ones that come in the 07+ kit have different part numbers. Is this an actual issue?
