Default oil

I'm installing a stage 0 ZPI turbo and I need to kno what kind of oil I should use.....its a 2007Scion Tc M/t

I recommend Redline 5W30 (since the 2007 uses 5W30) but since you are doing fluids anyway, get the Redline MT-90 for the trans (if its a 5 speed)

does it matter? as long as the oil is synthetic right? well im not sure....i was just gonna get castrol syntec but i dont know if i should

I'm using Mobil 1 5w30. There are a ton of peeps on here using the samething. Mobil 1 filter as well. GL with the install. get some vids of it!!

If you like Syntec, use it, it's good stuff. I've used it on all my vehicles since '91 and don't plan on using anything else. The other oils people have mentioned are great too, but Castrol is my preference.

turboing your vehicle does not change its requirements for oil weight/viscosity. Bearing cleanances do. So use what weight is specified in your owners manual (and on the fill cap) Turbos do increase heat and break down oil a little faster so synthetic is a must. 0w20 mobil 1 for me alng with either a k&n filter or a genuine toyota filter straight from mother.



p.s. genuine toyota oil is made by exxon mobil. Doesnt toyota want their cars to last? thats why ythey choose mobil.
