Default oil clearance on rods and main cap..

hey guys wanted to know any1 know what clearance should i be using with k1 rods with acl race bearings, and main caps.. too thanks

search please....but to aid.....it depends on what oil you want to run...10w30 youll need to be a tad over spec......i dont have the BGB handy or id give them to you exact....search in this section...elevationtc had the same question and i posted specs in there

what kind of hp levels you running.. run the rods at .0025 and the mains at .0015-.0020

im not sure what kinda of hp level im will be running at.. because right now im still going to run the sc. until it blows up then ill go with a turbo kit.. i guess my hp level is around.. 350-430 or so.. the upper #s will be with a turbo set up..

How can you "adjust" the clearance???? If you are installing new bearings and rods....there is no way to really "adjust" the clearance correct? I also had the same question in regards to clearance-thanks

you can increase the clearance by having your machine shop polish the crank down a few tenths. As for tightening clearance bout the only thing available is to have the bearings coated.

Thank you for fast response.....as far as an "align hone" or "align bore" what if 1 bearing is off but the other ones are not?

have the line bore checked, if its out of spec for some reson have them hone it. They can also do a line hone and loosen it up to the loose end of spec, whitch will increase your oil crearance as well. But it will also reduce the amount of crush in the bearings.
