Default OIL LEAK

I have a small very small leak at the cite of were the pan was punched its been in and out of my mechanic this is the 3rd time i was thinking if there is any kind of sealant out there i could use as the leak it almost untraciable very small amount somthing that can withstand the heat?

Are you talking about the oil return line that comes from the turbo into the oil pan? Just use some high temp RTV silicone.

hmm.. idk wer the leak ur talkin bout is.. but i dont think silicone would b safe since it could easily wipe out an o2 sensor..

if its a threaded u could always try to use teflon tape nd wrap it round the threaded area..

yes its the actual fitting thats leaking the brass fitting is leaking the part that goes in the hole of the pan can i use that stuff on the pan????

Yeah just make sure it dry's before you drive it. The turbonetics kit calls for High temp RTV silicone on the brass fitting for the oil return line going into the oil pan. Its perfectly safe.

He has an oil leak. NO teflon on oil fitting! There arnt any o2 sensors in the oil system also.

Yeah man, you need to use High Temp RTV sealant on the pan fitting, like this:






I hoped you used the same thing on the oil pan. You can grab this anywhere for about $3

on that last picture that is exactly were it is leaking its leaking from the part thats touching the pan soo im just gonna run to the store and just smear some around that bolt while its hooked up that should deff stop it niceeee

/\/\ hope it works out man. Post up and let us know. Worse thing that could happen is you'll have to drop the pan again and seal it from the inside.

the inside is welded hahah i dunno well have to see im gonnna get some of that stuff and cover the turbo line and the nut that goes in the pan im just gonna smear some on and let it sit over night ill let u know how it works out.

lol! i know theres no o2 sensor on thu oil part! haha! nehoo i gav that comment just coz i know this one guy that used sum of that silicone in his exhaust bolt(long story.. lol) nehoo couple weeks later thu mileage went down nd we checked his o2... it went bye bye.. lol!

so yea.. i said teflon just coz its done me good nd.. yea.. : )

No worries man.


Be sure and clean the area really well to remove any oil build up before you put on that silicone.
