thanks for the info guys. a local junkyard has an 06 rav4 block i think im gonna pick it up hopefully i can use my head studs

I guess if it has oil squirters thats the easiest giveaway

im gonna guess the bottom 2 are camry motors because they have the same oil filter lol

only thing different i can see is that pink chain link

hmm also the indents on the engine mount on the chain cover

I wouldnt go by the oil filter...lol but yes the bottom two pics are of the same engine though. (good eye)

on my 07 tc engine the timeing links are gold. 05-06 tc engine i did they were yellow. neither i remember had a pink chain link but the 08 camry engine did.

another difference between model years: 05-06 tC had 9.6:1 compression and 07-10 had 9.8:1
