Default Passing the test???

This went straight out of my mind...

If I do a Dezod signature turbo and get the preset dump pipe (open gate ,catless) and get a Dezod turbo exhaust, would I still pass NV emission testing at 2009? (my first test)

If not, will the O2 sensor cheat take care of it or do I have to change settings on the kit/exhaust I want?

Thanks, this is just so necessary for my tC to be driven on the streets of Vegas.

If I'm not mistaken for right now in NV, and this is from people from my car meet, that all they check for is a CEL and whether or not the ECU emission test is passed. Like for some cars you may have to have atleast 4 out of 6 emission systems working to pass. I dont know what the tC ECU requires, but I know my scanguage says I'm passing. Although I don't have a turbo, so it doesnt help you too much. But if you get one you would be able to tell if your ready to pass or not. I've been told they are trying to adopt Cali laws though. I they dont and if they do that its like 2008 or 2009 and higher must meet new standards and all others can do the old tests.

Is it true that if a turbo tC doesn't have any cat-con, it pollutes and emits more emissions than an H2?

I dunno, i don't own a H2 nor would I want to. As long as your ECU is saying your passing I think your good. I havn't heard from anyone about them using sniffers or hooking **** up to the engine so I think you'll be good as long as the on board emission system says your passing.

You should buy Travis's video then when ZPI opens back up. It tells you everything you need to know.

its like a collectors gold item. ZPI products are hard to come by now and will be in high demand. i heard travis was offered 17.444 billion cents to appear in a campaign saying that ZPI had nothing to do with the kennedy assassination and the Roswell stage zero space ship (no tuning needed).
ZPI parts are the new gold in the world.
rappers will get ZPI clutch teeth.
ZPI wedding "o" rings
Your GF wil give you stage 2 head packages and what not.
I LOVE ZPI

Wow, how quickly this thread went to crap!
thanks olahalo. I am not needed here.

But, just so you know, a turbo on a tc will actually give less emisions then a stock one with a cat since the turbo runs off of exhaust gases. My kit has not cat, open dump, and, if tuned right, won't throw a code. As is, I can clear my code and run a day or so without throwing a code. Long enough to pass the test!

how does a turbo tc without a cat pollute less than stock cat'ed tc?

anyway, in most states, the test with newer cars is basically "does it have a check engine light on" if the light isn't on, you pass the test.

but there is a visual test, if your tc has visible smoke coming out of the exhaust, yeah, they'll fail you. if you have black crap on your bumper that was spit out from your tail pipe, yeah, they'll suspect you don't have a cat. also, there is a noticible smell when a car doesn't have a catylitic convertor.

but seriously, it is only like $45 for a cat'ed down pipe and it only costs a couple of whp, so what is the problem with getting one?

give that the ECU does all its test passing within that day. Remember what Jason was saying about the ECUs? Most take cycles of certain parameters before the ECU says that it is good to pass. And to get a overall pass you have to have a certain number of passing parts in the emission system. Were you there when he was talking about that?

because cats are ___.

on a serious note tote boat, why would you put a cat on the car? and where? the exhaust? it might kill the poor animal!

hey man, we are all living on this planet together, and if keeping our air cleaner means a few less horsepower, i think we should all be able to get along just fine.

in maryland the emissions test for obdII is if you are showing any codes. in MD's case, you take it to your local tuning shop and get them to delete the codes from your ecu, so you arent showing those codes. basically deletes the second o2. but i dont know about NV
