pay to tune or??
Does anyone have a map that is close to what my setup is going to be using a F/IC? I will be running a t3 at 8 psi with water methanol injection. My injectors are 550cc. Thanks in advance for the help. I just want to get a map close enough to get it to the shop to be tuned. Speaking of which, has anyone had good experiences tuning their own car? I have the uego and a pyro so that should help. I am just having trouble finding a shop that is confident in tuning the F/IC. They all say they can't partial throttle to run right.. wtf?

I can't help you with a base map because I have an XB but IMO the first step in tuning with the FIC is to establish a good CEL-free MAF map. The MAF map affects fuel and ign timing greatly so start there. Then tune the O2, fuel and timing maps.

If those shops can't PT tune with the FIC, they can't tune. PT isn't hard. If you keep your fuel trims in line and balance fuel and O2 maps, the oem ECU will fine tune PT (closed loop) for you. My problem has been WOT (open loop) due to my lack of a dyno or personal drag strip upon which to log multiple WOT pulls.

I was reading the f/i thread and they were saying the stock ecu would compensate to an extent and there was never a real set # so when he said that I was like well maybe that's what he's talking about. my bad

ugh and to this day still ppl think its ok to boost untunned....let me tell u first hand my afr was 16.8 at 4.8 psi untunned

its up there cuz its the truth in CLOSED lopp the factory ecu compensates and adds or subtracts fuel depending on ur injector size, so for 550 cc injectors the ecu can get it so it is drivable at around 14.7 so u can get to a tuner....but at wot it will either be lean or rich depending on injectors and turbo size
for a tiny 16g it works.. for a to4e it fails,
wow its amazing how many people fail to use common sense
