If it broke and his SC was under warranty, he should be getting this for free

he has the NST 9,5 psi pulley. but anyway. My brackets aren't broke. so I can't get them for free? If they know the brackets are weak they should give the current owners a good deal

It cost me about $110. TRDsparks.com now has them on their site for $108 or something like that.

I'm not sure about how much boost they can hold, only time will tell.... and a 12psi pully and an ECU and a tune and a..... ::turns wallet upside down:: ::no money comes out:: lol

Once you get it up to 12lbs of Boost let me know if it can handle it. I hope it can.

To be boosting our engines with 12lbs is not smart to begin with. Im looking at getting a 10.5lb and calling it at that - but anything over 9.5lb needs to be tuned ...simple as that. Its been proven and talked about over and over and over. I dont want to argue about that but Im just posting so others that dont know ...now know.

^ i want to add that Im talking about long term performance from the car. 12lbs will last for some time but we are not sure how long that time is.

I have meth injection but thats still not what im getting at. The stock tC engine doesn't have metal gaskets. That much pressure on the internals is going to reduce the engine life. Some think otherwise but thats what I think.

U will need a lot more than 12psi to break the OEM head gasket. U are not pushing over 20psi yet. Also, u can always get a custom metal head gasket.

Well, how are tCs boosting over 16psi on the stock head gasket?.... The only time I saw a problem with a tC, and it wasn't the head gasket, was in a circuit race boosting 17psi. And what failed there were the rings.

Yeah, I forget his name, but he is from Puerto Rico, running a gt35r turbo, 16 psi on stock internals, been running it for a lil bit now without any problems.

But like jwaggz said, it can work on stock internals, but it is not recommended if you are shooting for long-term engine life. We may not know how long, maybe 20k, 40k, 100k, but I think it is wise to upgrade internals anything over 10lb boost, to reduce problems as much as possible.
