Does Turbonetics recommend upgrading your clutch with the amount of tq this kit is making? I know that Dezod is putting out similar numbers and they highly recommend a stronger clutch with their kit, so I was wondering what turbonetics stance was on this.

Take it to the track! Ask turbonetics to spring for some drag radials, maybe springs and take that beast to the track. The video's kept getting better and better, but it's like watching 12 second cars at the track, they just dont look so fast. A 1/4 mile pass would be great to see and get a feel for how well the turbo works throughout the powerband.

Nice kit. Interesting though, I've never seen a waste gate that dumps back into the exhaust manifold...

Turbonetics is the poop, they took my stock 90 Talon TSi into the 12s with just a turbine upgrade and polished housing on the stock TD05.

WEll all thanks for the kind words...It was kinda hard to video each run with the car throwing my friend back like that. I apologize if there was a slow upload. I talked to my webhost who said it should be back to speed this morning..I will be back at Turbonetics again next Friday and can get some more shots for you..Please let me know what videos you would like to see... so far I head a straight up shot of the gauges.. I'll give the a try

This is the kit that was going to CARB for cert....

The vendor selling this for $4300 right now was Mossy Performance... I'm not sure if the kit is on their page now but you can call them and get it.

I'll see what I can do about getting a comparison shot for speed... Theres no decent 1/4 mile tracks within 1 hour of SImi Valley... Maybe I can talk Turbonetics into a video of their turbo Focus ZX3 vs this car... we'll see what they say next Friday...

Just something else I'd like to note. The car in the pics and videos was a fresh off the lot Tc. The kit was installed about a week ago. Yesterday when driving the car I ran the living heck out of it. I'm talking 30 straight minutes of what you see in the videos... In all that time the car never overheated, idle'd weird, stumbled, or anything. Even the stock clutch after countless drag launches, clutch dumps, and power shifting never slipped once. The car drove absolutely stock out of boost and retained ALL stock driveability even when run HARD.. I was truely impressed after all the flogging I gave it it never once stopped responding and never acted weird... I'm definitely impressed with both this kit and the car...

Ive noticed some of the other kits come with a pretapped sump, so i guess its a straight swap with the stock for the oil return pipe. maybe the turbonetics one has it? see what they say.

Turbonetics owns two of them...the black one and this one... As for what RPM if you are cruising off boost the rpms are the same...are you asking where it spools up if you are cruising in 5th? It spools up around 2700-2900 in every gear.
