So if my RPM's going down the interstate are at about 4500, would i be at full boost constantly. If so, would it be safe for driving on long distance road trips such as 7-8 hours.

Only if you put the throttle down a bit... Just because the car is at an engine speed that would normally get boost doesn't mean the car will actually build boost. Turbos are spooled by exhaust gas. Exhaust gas is generated by load on the motor. If you are just cruising foot barely on the gas at 4500 you might get even pressure but probably not even that. If the throttle body is barely open there will not be enough load on the motor to actually spool the turbo. Now if you are cruising at 4500 and go down on the throttle a bit you will spool immediately as the engine is already at a speed were adding even the slightest bit of load will generate boost. To put it simply my turbo 350Z spools up at 3200 RPMS. I can drive from my job to my house up and down hills without ever getting into boost. It all depends on how you modulate the throttle. After driving a turbo car for a day or two you get used to where you can drive and get a little boost, no boost, or FULL BOOST Your left foot quickly learns how much gas to apply for a given situation...

None that I have ever seen. I briefly drove the black Scion, (not very hard mind you) and there was no CEL there and I railed on this one for 30 minutes then we took it to get lunch and cruise around and it never popped a CEL. And trust me Turbonetics wouldn't have cleared it for me I've haven't owned a car with a cat on it in 5 years so I'm no stranger to CELs. This car never threw one while I was in it. I'll be sure to ask them tomororw if they have seen one pop but I'm pretty sure it hasn't.

How about an *indoor* vid, so the wind does not distort the sound of the vid. Perhaps a dyno run vid.

This kit runs 8 psi out of the box but the turbo is capable for over 20 psi with the right motor parts..

I'm sure someone could arrainge that...

Turbonetics did do a head to head in Turbo mag against the TRD kit..the results were pretty telling:

TRD kit 201 FWHP 180 ft/lb of tq
Turbonetics 244 FWHP 262 ft/lb of tq both on stock cars with stock exhaust and out of box boost and tune..

I think once more kits are out on the road this will happen...

I thought about doing that but I would say that probably not a fair run.. My Z makes just over 380 RWHP and 370 ft/lb of tq at the wheels at 8 PSI. Plus I'm RWD...Not really a fair contest...but we'll see what happens...

GREAT PICS! But the Video sucks!!! I guess u can kinda hear the sound...but dood, who was manning the camera on that one?!! HE got some great shots of the windshield wiper lever and the dash/center console!!! WTF!! Those were the most retarded vids I've yet seen. WHat good does it do shooting the interior of the car the whole time if you're trying to show a turbo kit?!! Maybe shoot OUTSIDE THE CAR!!!

I'm sure its a nice kit though. If I had the $$$, I'd def drop it on the turbonetics kit. Much better reputation than ZPI
