My friend took his stock turbo's out of his 93 FD (RX-7) and asked if I wanted to put one of them into my tc. I haven't done much research on the FD's turbos but I would think that they could hold their own compared to a super charger or something. The questions is would it be possible since technically its only the turbo itself and not the manifold or anything. I would need to build a custom manifold and all the piping. What else would I technically need? And would this be worth it or would I be better off getting a kit from turbonetics or zpi or something?

your better off going with a turbonetics kit...its a kit developed for the tC, not just a random turbo matched up to a 2.4L with completely different power curves. Plus the money you would need to spend on custom manifold, pipeing, engine management, injectors etc your right at around the same price of a manufactured turbo kit.

You would prolly need both and put them into a true twin setup to make any power, those turbos are really small.

The stock turbos on a RX-7 might work, but compare the pricing of a decent new turbo and it's really not worth it. for $459 you can get a big 16g..
