Sorry for the wait, but we were having problems with the intake we first had. Because of the multiple welds and decrease in size from 3" to 2.75" so close to the maf, it seemed to cause too much turbulence. Thus it through the car in closed loop and many other problems. We remedied this with keeping the 90 degree elbow you see in the picture 2.75" all the way through to ensure less turbulence across the maf.
Here are the dyno charts from the current tunes and previous tunes before the car accident. The second tune produced more power then the current we feel could be because of several factors. I included a pic of the impeller and as you can see that could definitely raise some problems. The other could be that the intake is not as large as the last we had made. Not in relation to diameter but length. Our previous ran from the turbo down into the fender well. None the less though the current set up produced more power that the original off the shelf Dezod kit while making sure that the stock bumper beam was still used and that the bumper did not have to be cut. Not bad for an auto tC but would be awesome on a manual.

Oh yeah in reference to the comment about the hose clamps, we know that t-bolt clamps obviously ensure better clamping area and force. But the difference is that the piping we made is aluminum and all ends are bead rolled like you see in Injen/Fujita/AEM intakes. The Dezod kit using steel pipe is not witch with oil on hoses for sure will come off.

Dude hell yeah, custom setup ftw.....you did exactly what i wana do w/ my 3'' intake.....recirc the synapse.....you did a clean job...leme kno how the tuning goes.....the tC's gona handle the 3'' intake w/a recirculated bov

Just some friendly advice....
uwwrap the manifold and downpipe.
Especially the area of where the wg tube comes off the manifold and the dumptube goes back into the downpipe.
No matter how well prepped and cleaned, or how perfect the weld.
Heat wrap in those areas(more so than the rest) will cause issues.
Otherwise enjoy your setup!

Well the intake is not 3" all the way through, it steps down to a 2.75" at the maf and then back up to 3". This is because we can not re-scale the maf with Emanage. But none the less the turbo will be able to breath more then enough with this intake. Crazy CFM flow!!!!
As for the heat wrap, we just felt it was quite necessary because his previous fan shroud melted!! We know that heat wrap can cause cracking, especially with stainless. But customers seem to hate the smell of burning plastic! LOL

looks sweet!
BUT, haha there is always a but...
using hose clamps on the intercooler piping isnt going to cut it i think.. and i base this on me having heavy duty T bolt clamps and have blown a pipe off a few times. might want to swap those out!

Todd is correct in not wrapping your manifold or the top half of the downpipe. It intensifies the head within the manifold and can create failure in the welds no matter how much you put into the process.

a guy in a dyno shop once mentioned to me that jet hot coating inside and out of the manifold and downpipe will be a good way to keep engine temp down, he even mentioned that you could even touch the manifold even when the engine is idling.. can anyone verify on this?
