I'd like to see this finished, especially because I live in MD not far from you and it would be awesome to see it in person

Good luck!

hey i see martin at school all the time, i cant wait to see how this turns out! im excited to see his "backyard" kit work. hes fairly creative, like for example why purchase and expensive exhaust, he welded his own and it sounded pretty good. so he knows a little about what hes doing and im sure he can make this work well! im crossin my fingers!

Oh really? Where do you guys go to school? Seems nobody on here is around my way, but I've seen a few SL members from Germantown or Mongomery County. Regardless, I can't wait to see how the final result turns out!

um actaully it wont go boom because i have a freaking giant boost gauge in my face that will go off when i hit 6+psi which tells me shut down so no motor here will blow,
but if my motor blows ill just build one up from scratch wont cost much seeing id peice it together.

i just cant wait kit goes on on tuesday

Do people know that eBay doesn't produce anything?

They're not a manufacture... If I buy a garrett from eBay, does that mean it'll suck cuz it's from eBay?

what about a salvage yard? you can get a Saab turbocharger pretty cheap. thats a TDO5H unit. their are millions out there. find a reptuable place to rebuild it and walah! boost on a budget :-)

their was an old issue of Sport Compact Car that did a spread on budget, homemade turbos. and people only spending less then 600 bucks on a turbo, piping, inter cooler and waste gate (most internal i think)

you can find rebuilt or rebuildable turbos on e-bay. that's better then a non-name brand.

you'll need 4 or 5 tC motors to spool it up to that speed.
