Pros and Cons of Greddy Kit.

Since your running Greddy kits.... What are the bragging rights for 0-60MPH times of the Greddy turbo?
Nobody ever posted 0-60MPH times of turbo tCs so I'm still "mystified" on how fast it goes... (many thanks if someone posted!)

You mean mystified?
Dude, search. Basically all of the kits are in the same 0-60 range. There's no kit that is like 2 seconds faster than the other, they're basically all the same, just depends on the tune and boost levels on the turbocharger you are running it with.

actually if anyone can post up some 0-60 times, i'd love to see. all i've been seeing is quarter mile.. granted i love the 1/4, but i wanna see just how good the 0-60s are... if the quarter mile was like 13.2ish id say 0-60 somewhere around high 4s? just as a guess?

My friend kept telling me that it should be around 4.6-5.2secs if it's running a near perfect A/F ratio... but still, there's is no evidence since I have never seen the times yet.. (I HAVE SEARCHED and all I saw is 1 xA xB discussion. that's it)
So please those turbo'd tCs with a 0-60MPH timer on your Pioneer NAV post!

HOLY **** I CAN NOT BELIEVE SOME OF THE CRAP I JUST READ!!!!!!
dude if you get the greddy kit cool. like others have said multiple times. check the wastegate actuator arm before installing to make sure it isn't bent. make sure it moves free. if later down the road something with the wastegate goes wrong you don't need an entire turbo sitting on the back burner. all you will need to do is replace the d@m wastegate actuator.
the turbo that is on the greddy kit is an 18g. it is based off the mitsu turbo. you can take that turbo into a much high power range than everyone on here says you can. i get so tired of hearing about how you need a bigger turbo. if you want proof of what this turbo can do go to the website. [url]http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/timeslips.php?&do=16gsmall
every time on that page has to be backed with proof before it will be posted. they are also all times that were ran with a 16g. the 16g is smaller than the greddy 18g. so if they can take an all wheel drive car into the 10's and high 9's then it will do just fine on our cars.
i have the greddy kit on my car. i have had it on my car for over a year now and no problems. currently my car has only had the a/f ratio tuned. i'm taking it back to have the timing changed. currently my car puts down 255hp and 286tq. that is at 9lbs.
here is the time slip for my best time so far. the run was done with street tires and stock clutch. which a week after that run i went to the track again and the clutch finally went out. i guess thats what i get for running 2.1 60' launches..lol. it might not be a 0-60 like a lot of you want to know ( which i don't know what the big deal about it is) but if you look at the 1/8 mile time and speed along with the others you can kind of figure it out for yourself.
now as for having to pay for other things that you might need in the future yes you will need to replace a few things. however, depending on how you set the car up and how you drive it will depend on that.
yeah i had to replace my clutch but it took a year and over 10,000 miles. plus multiple trips to the track. for the cost of everything just to get the kit it is all in who you know and what kind of deals you can find. i bought my kit, the option 2, the greddy type rs bov, and my greddy 60mm boost and egt gauges for 4,000 shipped. i installed it myself. and i have only payed for 2 hours of tuning so far.
so pick what ever kit you wish. but make sure before you start spending more money than what you need to, do your homework extensivly.

Good post and good times.
There's no real way to figure out your 0-60mph speeds without a timer. Tracks won't have that.
There's ways to ESTIMATE it though:
http://www.tweak3d.net/videos/calcs/sixty.shtml
According to that, my 0-60 time is 5.75 Seconds.

Yea, because he askes us question as dumb as asking what's the best color? It's a matter of preference. There is no best turbo kit, etc. Just like there is no favorite color. My favorite color is blue and white by the way. LOL
But yea, it seems like whoever says it's the best is what he'll get. I wish him luck in the Forced Induction world.
