Ahh this was an awesome day, was there from the gates opening at 9 til late afternoon, was simply an awesome experience! Congrats on the win even with half the power that the guy on the PA system was telling everyone you had haha! As always, was great getting to hang out with all of you in the stands, this was my first TA event that I have attended and all I could think about was hopefully getting to participate in a similar event one day... congrats and best of luck with the two remaining rounds!!

Great Pics carbon! Remember to send them to Mr. C and me
well it was another successful weekend at Englishtown for PTuning! Our wall is continuing to fill with first place plaques, pictures, and articles. This weekend was no different. Saturday we got dumped on by tropical storm danny, which resulted in a nearly flodded track. Some parts of the track were under several inches of water. Since it was raining and we did not want to stress the motor we decided to leave the tC in the trailer, waiting until blue skys. This allowed me to take my truck on track for a very exciting truck "race." Video of this will be posted this week i hope. As for sunday, the morning sessions were still a little wet, and we struggled with the setup of the car. The track was VERY bumpy, and VERY tight, which did not bode well for our non adjustable progress coilovers. While they are amazing units, they were way to stiff for this track. We dailed in more and more tow out in the rear to aid in the rotation of the car, we upped the tire pressures, and we even took some wing out of the car. Even with "only" 300whp, the car was blisteringly fast, and trying to put the power down was a huge problem. Without the built motor, the car seemed to have the shortest gears EVER! I really did miss the more linear power band, and the extra rev's of the built motor. With the pratice all said and done, it was time to go to work and earn another 1st place. We staged as one of the fastest mod cars, just out of the first group (which were the fastest). Behind me were the likes of CBRD, Fuji racing, Dent sport and other high profile teams. During the first session i was still having problems getting the car to rotate but i kept to my line. The result was a smoking hot run of 1:15.7, which was good enough for first! The second session we added more toe, and that did not seem to help. The other scion that was out there placed 4th in modified with a 1:18.X. and trust me, he was bookin it as well!
After the time attack PTuning was invited to do a TOGUE BATTLE! Our car was to face off against the Dent Sport Garage Sti, driven by Ron Adams. We are good friends and we knew this was going to be a blast. We were running times within .5 seconds from one another and we knew it would be close. Ron lead the first two laps with me losing ground in the infeild but making it up under crazy braking down the back straight! The Fans were going wild as we switched places and I lead. Those two laps were a blur with Ron all over me, until the braking zones, where again I'd pull away. The result was a 1.14.X which was faster than my time attack laps, and where i knew the car could be lapping. We won the battle as well!!! I was stoked to hear that!!
anyway more later!!

I was wondering how he did. He has not posted up yet, but he is a member over on YSTC.com. Goes by bluesciontC over there. Cool.
Always look forward to your play-by-play stories Ross...LOL!

Nice meeting everyone at the event (Ross, all the p tuning guys, carbonxe) I wish i had the media pass, but I was stuck in the stands taking snapshots through the dumb fence. Well i will post some pictures later, but they will probably be crap.

I'll go a little further in depth tomorrow (because I'm still tired), but we are trying to get a few things wrapped up from the weekend which may include a little more exposure for the PTuning car! We also want to start another raffle ASAP! We need to get some pictures up for the wheels
yea, the TOGUE battle ROCKED!!! and you best belie if we make it out to Cali, you'll see the ptuning car in a super session tearing it up!!
It was great meeting you as well!!! I hope you end up with those seats As for the media pass, I had no idea! next time let us know and we'll hook you up!

Steve (bluesciontC) learned a lot this weekend I'm sure, and I know he'll develop his car more! It was very impressive because it was his daily driver!

First off, I know I work there... but I'd like to thank Ptuning as they are my main sponser, and my car wouldnt be where it is today if I didnt get to work with great people like I do at Ptuning.
Saturday was intense as running in the rain was a new experience for me. The Toyo R1R's are amazing in the rain, they enabled me to pass awd cars.... in the RAIN! This past weekend was a test for my new built motor and it went well. I ran all weekend on wastegate boost not spilling the beans on my new found power to anyone. Not until the final practice before the final ta session did I run 20 psi (for a few laps)and it was....fun Just cranking up the boost knocked off almost 2 seconds on that small coarse. It was a double edged sword though as in my final ta session I blew my braking point on one turn in all 3 timed laps because I was going almost 10mph faster in that portion then i did all weekend. I pulled a 1:19.5 , missed podium by .09 seconds to Gary in the CPE mazdaspeed 3 I am still happy though because I was able to prove that I can at least hang with the top competitors.
As for the tC, I had no worries and knew that Ross would come out on top. The best thing about running 300whp is reliability was great. The only thing that happed was the dipstick popped out of the dipstick tube lol. But even on that small coarse 500whp would have helped.
Another thing learned this weekend, carry a fire extinguisher in your car. I may let Ross tell that story, he is better at telling stories
