Yea man, like I said the R1R's are awesome. During the Nashville event I was tearing it up at a circuitcross at VIR. I abtained my personal goal of beating my best lap time on that track (which was done on Nitto NT-o1's r comps earlier this year), and did so on street tires... R1R's no less. Not only that, but was the 3rd fastest car on street tires and 9th fastest over-all out of 64 cars... and not just any cars .http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/072609res_raw.htm Good tires and dialed in suspension and alignment can prove superior over horsepower numbers, many people overlook that. But on a coarse like Nashville horsepower is a key factor too.
VIR patriot was a twisty coarse though, looked like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78UNZF83RYA
Next year I have no doubt that a tC set up with R1R's and a Ptuning turbo kit will be a top contender for fwd street for the time attack. And Im looking forward to seeing just that Travis. As well as Ken running to, along with Mo perhaps. Ill be trying to hang on!

There will be Two tC's from our club running next season. Brian (J3st3r) is the second one besides me. To my knowledge there are no "Car Clubs" shooting for podium finishes in Time Attack. This will be a great season to come for sure. His motor is being overhauled and RE-built as we speak. Although I'm not sure where he stands on "aero-aids".
PS....I love the list of cars you out ran. True Racers no that to be fast, overall balance of a vehicle is key as well as it's driver. Not simple "Ricer Racing" where you look at the make and model of a vehicle and automatically assume it's going to win.

PTUNING tC will be at the RTA event in Carolina Motorsports Park on 8/8-8/9
Just to let everyone know, the PTUNING tC and crew will be racing in the Redline Time Attack this weekend (August 8 & 9) at Carolina Motorports Park in Kershaw, SC. We hope some of you can make it out to the event this weekend. Wish us luck--we'll bring a couple of spare gearsets just in case.

Sad, but true. Our only built motor for the season is done. From what I was told it was caused by either a bad harness or malfunctioning ECU. I'm sure Toan or MrC will provide more detail on Monday. They had another tough weekend. I don't think either one has sleep for 48 hours straight.
Unfortunately, we don't have corporate funding like some other race teams to simply whip up another motor. Financially, we have nothing left for racing.
Unless some financial miracle happen and we get another built motor, our RTA season is officially over.
Thank you all for your support. Lets pray for a miracle.

It's sad. Everyone wants to be part of a winning team, but no one wants to give you a dime. For the past two seasons, we have been asking Scion Corp to toss us some spare change to help us with our racing effort....and NOT ONE PENNY. I can understand if we are not winning. In two years, we took home 1st Place in every event that we have participated in. That's 6 out of 6.
Oh well. Sorry for the vent. It's just sad to end the season this way.

How many more events were needed to secure this season? It was a great showing and experience wrenching with you guys at the TN event. Sorry to hear the unfortunate development. Scion should toss a few bones out to support the cause that's for sure.
