I'm pretty sure I've said it before, but I'll say it again for anyone who missed it.

Very nice PTuning!

Is the boost drop-off your doing purposely or the limitations of certain hardware?

FYI....the Intercooler/Radiator setup on their TA car (just the intercooler and custom radiator itself, no pipes nothing) cost nearly as much as what I'm selling my whole turbo kit for...

Got to have some good pockets to have the TA car's setup.

Indeed, cause I was contemplating getting the setup off the TA car. Perhaps in the Future.

Very nicely done Mr.C....

and to this comment...
you will not make these kind of numbers from stock components....PERIOD, not stock internals, not stock fuel setup, not stock injectors....PERIOD. This setup was done how it should be done, with quality parts, quality fabrication, great engineeing, and the people, time, and shop to make it happen! Congrats to Ptuning on this, it is good to know that there are still companies out there that design/R&D parts(the right way), service the customer, and have a vested interest in the community.

Thanks for the comment Brian. This means a lot to us coming from the mouth of an engineer and one that's built his own high power turbo setup. You're correct on all points, you need the right components, the right design, a lot of knowledge and a damn good tuner to make it all come together to make power.

AMEN!

Toan helped me diagnosis a problem over the phone in a matter of a brief conversation. Can't argue that he don't know what he is doing that's for sure. Can't wait to get up there so you guys can work your magic. I will be there soon MrC.

And for sure people, if you want to step up your game and do it right, this is what it's all about. It's the small details that matter the most. Throwing on some large turbo and expecting the same kind of response/power is not going to cut it.

The boost taper is usually (not always) a sign that the turbo is slowly approaching its flow limits. We could have gone further, but would probably have gained more torque than hp, due to the tapering boost curve at the higher power levels. The other reason was that it was getting late and the tC was running on empty.

This tune is still fairly rough, especially with the AFRs in the 6300-7700 rpm range.
Given the power levels that we were at, leaning out the rich AFRs up top would probably have netted us an even higher max power reading. She'll be back on the dyno again though before the first race.

BTW, don't forget to pick up the March issue of Modified magazine. It should be on news stands in the coming days. You may discover a five page article on the PTuning TA tC.

You guys going to run in the Unlimited class only this season, or do both Modified and Unlimited.
