question about the 007 BPV
I was wondering if there are any negative effects on installing a different spring in the Bypass Valve then the green one? I am running about 9 psi on the TRD. How about any benefits in installing it?
For example taking the green (up to 15psi) and changing it to yellow (15-23psi)
Thanks in advance

I'm running the yellow on mine, no compressor surge or anything. If you're bpv is mounted slightly upside down it will leak some boost with the green so the yellow is good. The only thing I can say for the Forge with the yellow spring is it blows the bosch 110 away.

put the red spring in if your running it upside down with a pulley. The Forge is known to leak boost unless the red spring is in there. I had the yellow and blue springs in with different washer combinations and the best ended up being just the regular old red spring.

OK, well, I am going to be looking for a new BPV soon, and was looking at the Gofastbits ones. How is it holding up tikhboy?
Also, I may look at getting the 007, the only problem is that I am probably going to be making a custom intercooler setup here in the next few weeks, so I am not sure how I am going to run the BPV tubing.

This bypass valve is nearly the same as the forge except it uses a teflon coated piston as apposed to a bare aluminium one like the forge. This does nothing for the performance however there is less maitnence involved. Where they want you to grease the forge valve every 3-6 thousands miles the hyperboost valve is good for about 25-30k before you ever need to do maitnence it. That's what sold me. And the HX Compact has been tested up to about 23psi with no leaks.
Hope this helps.
