Default Question about Unichip on Supercharger

I have an oppurtunity to buy a unicip for VERY cheap...but the catch is that it is from a Turbonetics Turbo kit off an 06 Auto tC.

now, i have an 06 Auto tC also, but with the Supercharger...can i send it to unichip to have them put a s/c tune on it?

my main concern is for my warrenty.....is the dealer going to give me sh*t for having it on there?? i know its a plug-n-play setup so i could just remove it b4 i go in for service, but will removing and installing the unichip multiple time screw anything up??

Thanks for the help

Yes, I do believe you can but can it be tuned to suit the supercharger? I hear that Unichip does not effectively control close loop partial throttle boost.... so thats a little iffy if you ask me.

Go find out more about Unichip and how it works.

Plugging it in and out will not hurt anything, just remember to reset the ECU by pluggin out the EFI fuses each time to soft erase the memory settings on the ECU.

i thought that unichip had worked around the closed loop thing.....

any one using the unichip know for sure that it doesnt effect part throttle boost?? is this somthing that i would have to ask unichip about directly?

Unichip may charge you to reflash you the Unichip with the S/C Tune. It doesn't come cheap.

you can always get the dezod black box for partial throttle tuning.

don't know if the dezod black box is plug and play, it doesn't specifically say, and i don't see any PnP harnesses for it for sale on their site.

as for unichip tuning, you obviously can't run a turbo tune on a supercharger, so you need to get it tuned, and that can only be done by a designated unichip tuner, so depending on location and rates, it could be good, could be bad.

My guess would be b/c $500-600. I could be more or I could be totally off. I would call them to find out.

I recommend you pay for the Tune Time and get a customized tune rather than a generic manufacturer tune.
