Default Questions on stage 0 zpi?

This is a question that I recently came upon by reading about turbosystems. Most articles say that one of the most important things for a turbo kit is fuel tunning and that there is no such thing as a bolt on system that can be put on and raced right afterwards(without blowing your engine). Iam new to this to this and want to get the zpi stage 0 kit in sept just wondering how the kit is able to be reliable (it seems to be from the happy customers) with no managment. How does the stock ecu compensate for the added air? does it run rich, lean?

also does the kit work fine on stock exhaust?

I think they include a preprogramed eManage with it. So it's already ready to go with fuel management and such.

Should work fine with stock exhaust... that I know of.

I think its the stage 1 that has the emanage. the 0 doesnt come with it but you can get it as a option Im sure. Im looking into the stage 0 as well just as soon as tax return comes in. I could be wrong on this, but from what I remember that is the setup

So with no managment how does the kit stay reliable? How does the car react to it? Rich/Lean?

i'v read that our stock ECU is smart enough to compensate for the extra air and it will run fine, they say 6 psi doesnt need anything extra. but if someone knows this to be untrue let us know

My concern wouldn't be the A/F ratios thats for sure, but timing on the other hand......

At 6 psi, the internals are stury enough, I think, to deal with the stock timing.

It will be there, dont think they have a fix for it yet.. Not even sure if an antifouler would help it.

this has been asked a while ago... and i'm still debating on whether its safe.. but zpi said before that our stock ecu can handle 6psi safely... it would help if zpi can explain to us in detail on why this safe though

You put ont the system and it works. Self contained, needs no tuning other then resetting the stock ECU after you install it. For stage 0 you just need a cheap antifouler to remove the Check Engine Light. The car is definetely strong enough to handle 6psi. Even the auto can handle 6psi safely, no slipping whatsoever.

I see thanks for the info. By reseting the stock ecu do you mean just turning the battery on and off?
