quick UEGO question...
You have to weld in a new bung right? So if i got my hands onto another bung... in theory i could transfer my sensor to a new s pipe right?
thanks!
thanks!

im sorry im not really understanding your question. can you explain it a lil better please. your spipe should have a bung in there already for your o2 sensor, your not going to be able to put your uego sensor in there beccause the its not long enough to reach the interior of the car. plus you need to have your secondary o2 sensor in there. just pay $40 for an exhuast shop to weld a bung into the downpipe(if its for a turbo) or into the header/mainfold(if its for the s/c) and that will be your best bet.

its just that someone told me that it should be welded in the spipe and since i have been waiting for my spipe for a while im getting impatient because i have been running my turbonetics kit for a few months with absolutely no gauges (boost/vac nor AFR) So you think even just welding it into the down pipe would work?

in the AEM manual for the uego it says to weld the bung 36 inches away from the turbo
also if your getting the creative compacts s pipe you might run into the same problem i did, with the O2 extender for the secondary O2 sensor, the O2 sensor makes contact with the rack and pinion, making a terrible rattling sound at cruising speeds, i welded my bung for the aem sensor just above stock and offcentered to the right and put the secondary O2 sensor in the new bung, and walla!, no more rattle
BTW uego is an great little device

generally, you want to keep egt's at the location of the wideband sensor below 800C. Too high a temperature can severely decrease the life of the sensor. IMO, 36" is a bit extreme though. I think 24" from the turbo should do it. It's probably better to wait and weld it to the s-pipe
