Default QUIDANCE

OK, So i am new to scions previously owning a audi tt so this is different, i am purchsing a 2005 tc and am going to do a full motor/turbo rebuild. ok my starting point is a Dezod Motorsports Port-N-Polished Head-tC 05-10 and Dezod Performance Non-Sleeved Short Block for the 2AZ-FE 05-06. I want to go with the Dezod Motorsports Alpha Series DIY Turbo System-tC 05-10 my question is do i need a full stand alone system and also what would be recommended to complete this setup.

Your gonna need to pick out an intercooler and have all the piping custom fabbed. Definitely go with a blow through set up.

for fueling get this:

http://www.dezod.com/pd-dezod-motors...2azfe-fuel.cfm

for engine management, call Dezod and ask about their Allan Philips Inline ECU.

I was going to go with a custom water to air set up and relocate the battery to the trunk.

please tell me your in the Houston area...id love to put some time in on this project.

your best bet is to talk to Paul over at Dezod, he will fill you in on what they recommend for this kinda build.

from the sound of this build youll want a standalone. you can do it with a piggy back, just sounds like your going all out.

what are your goals? hp/tq? daily driven or streight track?

how are inspections done in florida...I forget. last i remember they arent that bad. if so id go standalone. maybe 1000cc injectors (that will leave a tad bit of growing room but not much). Id have to go back and do the math to see exactly what size will suit your needs.

btw with 1000cc injectors i would seriously consider a return fuel system. you really need to go up in fuel line size and pressure in order to feed those injectors properly. otherwise you wont get enough pressure to atomize the fuel. also flow is a big concern. hope this helps.

Cool nice to see serious tuners in Florida. A full standalone would be best for what you are going for.
Full 3' exhaust
BB turbo GTX or GT series
850-1000 injectors
2.75-3.0' intercooler piping
Very strong clutch and possible flywheel or shave the O.E.M
OS Gikken or TRD lsd
Driveshaft shop axles or some other company but definitely get upgraded axles.
Methanol/alcohol injection could easily have reaching your numbers at low boost levels in ex. under 20psi
Oh really important change to return style fuel system
This is my opinion of what would be needed along with other things I probably forgot to mention to add to your kit.

Dezod is always a ring away. Good Luck with the build and you need to roll out to Central florida there's a good amount of boosted TC's here including me. Keep us posted

Oh and when you finish your build there's a supra waiting plus others that would be a good run.

Thank you for all the replies as of now im settling on the alpha series kit with a w/a intercooler with resevior/ice tank in trunk, also relocate battery to rear. the motor will be dezod block with head there return fuel kit, clutch im thinking twin disk. I will be doing stronger drive shafts for sure, as far as water meth i may idk yet. i have a gross list of parts put together so far just finishing it up.
