i think it would work well...lower underhood temps, no need for an intercooler. only thing that really concerns me about those kits is the oiling, they use an electric oil pump for the return and the oil has 12ft to go each way on that F-body... id def have an oil pressure gauge with that kind of setup.

They put the turbo where it is at in those kits for exactly the reason tcholic said.
There is no room for a "convetional" turbo kit.
They designed the kit like that To make a somewhat affordable *Bolt On* turbo kit for an LS1 vette, or LS1 Camaro .
Now the question is "Why"?
Q. Why would you mount the turbo at the rear of the tC, when the tC has so much room in the engine bay?
A. Because i want a carb legal turbo kit by keeping the pre cat ...
Even a rear mount turbo kit will not be street legal.
For the exact same reason why a Cold Air Intake is not street legal.
The Supercharger is street legal because they jumped through all the right hoops to get it that way.
It has a larger airbox but its been approved by the California Air Resource Board.
The only way I think you could have a carb legal tC is
Place the turbo after Both catalytic converters, Use the stock airbox, and run 6 psi or less.
If you did this, you would soon realize you should have just bought the Supercharger from toyota.
