I never had a problem with mine, but I can't vouch for anyone else. My main point is, the guy should just buy a straight up BPV, as opposed to buying a BOV and having to buy an extra kit. But that's my own $0.02.

My turboXS RFL required 4 of the supplied washers to be installe before it would hold 14 pounds, but i dont know any bov that doesnt require adjustment of the spring tension.

Well I was wondering the people who are having problems idling are they having back fires also?? I know changing to colder plug will not effect much except be safer to run BUT a typical problem with backfires is that the plug GAP is too big. I think sciondad switched to a colder plug with a smaller gap. Our stock gap is .044" which is very big if you are running a turbo. I see something between .028" to .036" is probably a more reasonable gap. Obviously we won’t know this is the real problem until some manual guys with ZPI stage 0's try it. Anyways that’s my $0.02.

i found this bov/bpv online, it seems to be fully adjustable. from what the description says you can completely switch it from a bov to a bpv. something we could possibly use.

that one is mechanical, they also offer an electrical one where you can control it from inside the car, but i think that one is a little over kill
