A Scion is not a Honda.

True story. But it would life a hell of a lot easier if it was as simple as a honda ecu.

I would get a stock ecu. So you cant reflash a stock ecu? Or I was thinking about getting a stock ECU and then a piggyback and bring it to a dyno but my buddy told me that I could get it reflashed somewhere but i dont know where.

the dealership reflashes your ecu and yes like people have said its irreversible so if you ever want to go back you'd need to find an ecu from a junkyard your same year and program it to your key. i havent tried checked myself but people have said that they dont offer that reflash anymore but you can check your dealer.... however... i think that its a better deal to just get a piggyback or another kind of fuel management system like aem .... because if you ever wanted to go back to stock at least you wouldnt have to get a new ecu.

You dont have to go to the dealer for the TRD reflash, you just need to find the right person. There is a tech here in south Florida that I have found can reflash a lot of different ECU's including the Scion. The Scion is the TRD flash only nothing else though.
