nvm i was asking about the main bearings anyways!

are having them so loose bad? also you see the crank? i had the oil holes chafered out so additional oil could be slinged around the rod bearings!

.017-.040 is the recommended oil clearance..........having loose main bearings is bad..........go on ahead and put a leash on the crank and take it for a walk........go to calico.com and get your bearings......there calico coated ACL race bearings and are the cheapest place i could find them

I used ACL race bearings (std size) and they were a tad over spec. I used Dart Machine in Troy, MI for my coatings and they can coat them to whatever thickness you need.

I have mine on the tighter side of toyota spec for both the rods and mains

Don't use OEM main bolts. Get ARP studs and have them align bored the block. Send you head to RLZengineering. The do the head work for most of the big team, like Tony Palo and Leslie Durst...

I set my clearances to 19 to 21 on both my main and rods. using calico coated ACL. I decided that after talking on the phone with Horizon motor sports (scion team).
