i'm not supercharged yet, and at 80 mph, i don't feel slow. infact, one of my biggest problems is how easy it is to gather speed at 70 mph in 5th gear, just alittle gas and i'm hitting 80, 90, 100 + mph. as the speeds get higher, it seems to get faster easier. part of the reason why i get in so much trouble on the interstate.

there are multiple ways of getting the tamper proof bolt off.
theres even a thread about it just search for it.
but i would say the simplest way is to bring it to any shop and have them weld a nut onto the end of the bolt that way you can use a ratchet to take it off.
then just use a different bolt in its place.
that or take the time to grind down all of the sides so that it will fit into the ratchet or wrench, if your willing to take the time it shouldnt be to difficult.
and as for the 4000 price.
thats a complete rip off.
you cant get if of trd sparks for 1850 so even if intstall was 600 thats only 2450, and thres no way in hell that they will charge you 1550 to ship to hawaii, dealer markup is complete BS

$3000 plus shipping for the 07-08 SC. Price is a high at $4000, but not completely insane.

that does look sick, i woul highly reccomend putting that heat sheild back on and jethot coating it so that you wont get that excess heat building on the sc shaft then leadin to premature seal leaks, and yes the tamperproof bolt can be removed by any of those ways that were listed above. just too many people are afraid to try it for some odd reason. after that hel go all out and install a 12psi nst pully watermeth injection stage 3 clutch lsd lightweight flywheel and crank shaft and you should be set. then go ut and run some z28 and watch there face lol

Get some heat wrap on that header so that you don't dry out the oil on the s/c rod

And admittedly, im threadjackign here: when does the boost "begin" with the S/C? I was under the impression that the boost is constant from idle to redline.
S/C and T/C cars work alike when it comes to getting into boost, or being in vacum. You're only going to start boosting when you put a load (accelerating briskly, not cruising) on the motor. At 3k rpm you should see 1psi +/- and it will build from there to at redline 7psi.

^yup - the more rpm's "on load" the more boost - rpms w/o load (no gas) ....no boost. Thats great because you can control how much boost you want to give ...so when you are driving normal you can keep out of boost if you feel like it.
