s/c Belt issue
My stock belt came off on tuesday idk why. Has anyone else had this problem. The belt was fixed by a mechanic who also installed the new 9.5 and gates belt but it still sits very close to the edge. I'm running the 9.5 nst but it looks like the 2 pullys under the nst dosent hold the belt right.
Should i take my car to toyota and have them remove the belt and put it back on again. The gates belt is brand new and i got it off nst website.
thanks in advance

ok i had problems with my tensoner. like rainy days or wet pavement it would slip off and notice psi loss due to my tensoner not holding the belt tight under wot. might just want to check into this. also when i bought a new tensoner for the dealership it was a new design one. dont know y they made a different one but it started goin out again like 8 months down the road. other then that they might have not but a spacer in between the pulley and the bracket to make it stick out more. i notice that after the dealer installed it. hope this helps

A couple years ago I had a problem with my belt starting to shred and squeak. It eventually popped off. The belt wasn't aligned along all of the pulleys properly and needed a shim added to the s/c pulley side.
Whenever you replace the s/c pulley, you need to make sure that it is properly shimmed. Luckily someone I know at the Toyota dealership had some extras and hooked me up, no problems since.

Its in the instructions, guess some people who didn't install it themselves haven't taken a peek at the manual. Everyone who has an s/c should. You can download it from trdsparks.com
