Changed the belt still squeak but then soaked the actuall belt ribbs and it went away hasn't come back so idk what the hell is going on

Yeh it squeaked again then stopped Idk squeak worse with a bigger belt but both times using belt dressing stopped so I'm lost still gonna replace idler pulley bearings

Idk maybe you installed the bearings on the shaft wrong or bought the wrong ones.

Nope they fit snug numbers Match up I'm hoping it's the idler pulleys or tensioer

since spraying the belt directly with dressing the squeak has gone away so im happy for now next is the header rasp!!!

To those who have rebuilt the idler pulleys, did you reuse or replace the snap rings?

As long as they are not damaged there is no reason to get new ones.

Thanks gompka, my problem is this is my only transportation so if I damage it on removal I'll have a hard time getting replacements. I was planning on buying some beforehand just in case but not sure of the size.

So I'm going to be putting new bearings tomorrow. Well im having a shop press them lol.. Am I supposed to use loctite or something like it. Cause I can't seem to find loctite at local stores. :-/ is there any other type.
