If something breaks, you can always fix it. That is just part of the trials and tribulations of modifying a car. Once again, good luck and have fun.
x2... why dont more people have this kind of attitude?

Well from the 5 years I have been on this forum I have learned allot, when I have asked questions about certain things people have told me the negatives and positives, which I like, that way I would not go in blindly into what ever project I was getting myself into, now I try to do the same when I can to help others, yes I'm more negative when it comes to the SC, because of my past experience wit it(I've gone through 4 or 5, I lost count), the only reason I went with it to begin with it was because I live in Cali and it was the only form of forced induction that was 50 state legal and still let me keep my warranty, to me those were the only 2 things that the SC had going for it, if I lived in a place that did not have strict government smog laws then the turbo would have gone on my car instead without any hesitations. Its always good to see both sides of the coin first before diving into something right? so please don't take me the wrong way, I'm only here to help others, not to be a negative *****...thanks...

FWIW, I've had two. The first was an 06 version, it ended up being a $10k warranty repair (SC and short block). The second is doing just fine and I couldn't be happier.

haha. ^ yea this is bs! People shouldnt talk if that havent done it themselves...
I have had my bov/ intake setup for over a year and just added my header. No problems at all, my wideband just reads a little rich between shifts. No harm there.

Does anybody know who made the supercharger? Was it actually TRD or outsourced to some other company? Also, when people said they fail, is it the actual supercharger or the components around it? Thinking of making a custom kit myself just like the op and just curious. I like the idea of supercharging!

Probably Vortech - but I'm not 100% sure.

Not sure how I missed this one but I have a modified Injen intake and I was running a Forge 007 with the recirculation pipe removed and SC plugged for a while. I'm using an HKS SSQV with an adapter on the stock charge pipe now. Eventually I'll be getting b52hDUNN's pipe kit or having a full aluminum intake/charge pipe set made. AFRs are fine.

search... this has been answered many times
vortech only made the compressor, trd did the rest (the parts that fail)
