S Pipe bolts wont come off
I was finally able to find a warm place to install a Dezod S2 Turbo kit on my 08 tC. Got pretty much everything done, except the S pipe. Im having a problem getting the bolts off the S pipe that connect to the mid pipe. All the directions say is to loosen up the bolts, but if look on the s pipe side it looks like theres a nut on it holding the bolt down. Tried getting the nut off too and it just wont go. Any one have any suggestions, and any one else have this problem?

wd40 my friend soak the bolt and nut. take a break and try again if that doesn't work try to get hold of a small torch to heat up the bolt and nut. One of these should help you good luck.

your installing a turbo kit yet your asking how to take s-pipe bolts off because there stuck. my s-pipe was untouched until about 50k miles and all i had to do was use the double wrench method....no wd-40, no torch, just elbow grease. I find it funny how people are jumping the gun on turbo kits when they know little about turbo mechanics or basic engine mechanics at that. how old are you?

Gingles so your saying because Im having a hard time getting a bolt off, and Im reaching out to the scion community to see if theres any tips or tricks so I dont snap the head off the bolt that I know nothing about turbo/engine mechanics? Thats extremely ignorant of you, and not only am I very glad your getting rid of your tC, but Im sure that most people here on scion life are as well seeing as though you just insulted pretty much every one that has posted any problems/concerns/questions and advice.

i think people purposely try to ruin this forum. its sad that people just go on here to bash one another, kinda takes the fun out of the car world. ppl make mistakes....ppl learn. thats how it goes. we all dont come out the womb with a wrench....

Thx to every one for the advice!! Did just that Paul, torched the first one and it came right off! The other one was not so lucky though. It seems as though the dealer has possibly had it off before at one point in time or it was just soooo corroded because it was completely rounded. Took our the drill and a 7/16's and had at it. 3 mins later, it was off. S pipe is done, tomorrow is just all the small things getting re bolted on the block, start up and if all goes well, put the bumper back on and then clean up.

Got it Paul! Ill keep every one posted on the start up today. Dyno might be out of the question for awhile. Trying to find a Dyno in Iowa is going to be impossible.

When it comes to car maintenance or replacing parts nothing is ever cut and dry even on OEM applications there are too many factors that can hinder your progress like temp, climate, region, age and condition of vehicle and/or parts, incorrect parts to begin with.
So lets just try to understand where people are coming from and answer there questions to best of your ability if you have prior experience or knowledge.
