its protech in austin right? how is the tune? they tuned w/ fic? I know someone that has his turbo installed on his prelude and tuned there and he wasnt too happy about it, now his motor is messed up and another guys evo8 that they fully built started blowing bad smoke on exhaust so they had it towed back there its around 300miles away from here.. but let us know how your tune is, look at your numbers and see if you think its about right.. its just a heads up but your numbers are decent

and another one in first gear i dont maybe i didnt floor it enough but AFRs dont seem to go into 12s and lower they stay in low 13s... those are the few things that i need to work out with him.
Overall i'm pretty happy with the tune , the tuner Jon, definately put in time. He fixed vacuum lines on my greddy boost controller because shop that installed it did it incorrectly and he didnt charge me for that.
The car pulls pretty nicely, on low boost according to boost controller and boost gauge its 6 psi ( limited by BC ) and on high setting its actually 9 psi also limited by BC, so maybe they tune was not on 0.8 bar i told him to tune it on 9-10 psi tops, and thats what i assume he did.
After he was done tuning on the dyno, we went to fine tune it on the street and he finished off some things, he also told me if i have any concers i can use logger on the FIC and he showed me what it is and basically told me to send it to him and he will adjust whatever is neede. Overall all in total i'm happy so far. Even on 6 psi i the car pulls nicely all the to the red line in all gears.
The only part is i'm not sure how can i look and compare the numbers ?
i mean its my first boosted car and certainly first with 300WHP car.. I guess the only way to compare would be to actually just go to a dyno shop and dyno it there without tuning.
Also, once i go in boost the AFR's are perfect 10.2-12.5 range.
I paid $350 for everything with no taxes.
He didnt send me dyno charts yet but i will upload my liitle video from my cell phone so you guys can see. Also ALL tuning pulls were made in 4th gear.

10.2 is too rich, a lil adjustment on that maybe needed but as long as you dont stay at that range you should be good.. 12.5 is a bit lean especially in texas weather make sure its not on the higher rpms. But if everything is else is smooth then thats good, you will only need few touch ups on the tune.. and oh are you able to tune by gears? you have the standalone?

ghmmm... actually dyno they use i believe is Dynojet.
Ace to better show how AFR's are i will make a video and show you, so you can let me know what its supposed to be at.
No i'm not on standalone, i'm running AEM FIC. What do you mean tune by gears ? ( i'm not sure how its done ) generally anything tuning related i have alot to learn.
Also i noticed one thing, i have 50 trim 48 AR turbo and as far as i know its should hit boost pretty early. Yes is does start spulling around 2500-2800 and at 3000 its spooling pretty loudly, but for example in 2nd gear, if i'm boosting lets say 50% throttle AFR's are at 13's.. and once i floor it then it jumps to 11-11.5 right away is that normal ?
will that 13s hurt the engine anyhow ?
and you said 10.2 is rich and as long as i dont stay there, well in 5th gear for a moment it sayd rich and then when i floor it it starts at 10.2 and goes up and stays around 11-11.5 to 12.0 range something like that...
and what do you mean on higher rpms like how high ? where should that be ?
i think i definately should make a video of each gear pull...

yeah get some vids, its hard to visualize your tune with just words lol.. and its hard to judge a tune since there are too many things to look at.. about tuning by gear, so far i know only standalone can do that so i thought you got the aem stanalone.. but here's what i think, lower gears usually stays at the lower load area and it hit your max boost later compared to higher gears (but revs faster though) so if your lower boost is tune around 12-13a thats prolly why your afrs are like that.. your afrs doest look too bad though
