Everything on mine is flush. I think it just bounces off from the engine vibration. The fix is two strips of electrical tape.

I used two wood screws and fastened my box down. No joke. Mechanics laugh at it.

I had the same problem when I had my tC. I bought a K&N panel filter, which seemed to stop the problem. I still have that filter sitting in a box upstairs, let me know if you want it.

make sure the top of the box is covering the whole filter cuz on mine i have the trd hi-flow and if the top part dont cover the whole filter it wont snap on.
