Ya, I'm not sure if it's SC either. Can't really tell at all. Looks just like an Autocross ride. Fun though.

Im willing to bet that car is supercharged...Im also willing to bet that its a video of a Scion supercharger release ride and drive class done by Toyota University. Before the tC was released nationally, I had to go to a class at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford NJ called the Scion tC Ride and Drive program...its a class that counts towards your Scion Sales Certification. The first part of the class we went over every aspect of the tC and all the accessories that were gonna be available for it, and then came the fun part...they set up an autocross track in the huge Giants stadium parking lot, and had a bunch of hooked up tC's that we were able to test drive through the track....sitting next to us in the passenger seat were Proffessional race car drivers/instructors critiqueing our every move and teaching us how to take corners harder...It was really great cause they had us beating the living crap out of these cars. It was pretty much an identical setup to what was in that video that you just saw

awesome video. Its autocross but not SCAA autocross. They dont use chalk lines or painted lines. Only pointer cones. And as far as the driver, he isnt all that great because everyone knows spinning tires and squealing tires that much is no good for speed.

But you that is pretty cool. I am debating if I am going to run mine this year. alittle to much wear and tear on something this new.

I'm not one to argue, but I will have to disagree with you on this.

There are chalked lines visable during the video

Now are you refering to SCCA not using chalked lines?
- Because if so, then that is wrong. SCCA does infact use chalked lines AND pointer cones/standing cones when they hold an event. It's almost imparitive to use a chalked line.

I guess I should have said the scca where I live doesnt use lines. Its really hard to do. Let me post up some pics of me racing in my dads SVT contour. Ok i dont have my pictures scanned but this is from my dads local chapter he runs in. They dont use any lines. Just pointer cones. Might be different in different parts of the US.

Pictures speak for themselves.

I do to. But the wear and tear on the car is pretty high. My dad races, and when I was home before my wedding in 2002 he let me run his heat for him. It is so much fun. Kinda confusing to follow the track with all them cones and no lines tho. But I had alot of fun.

I owuld love to see what the tC could do. But from what I hear it doesnt compete well in its class. And with any mods it puts you in a modified class wich includes alot of high end modded cars.

Ok, I just misunderstood what you said, but every SCCA event I've gone too, even at my old work BeaveRun Motorsports Complex, when we held Auto-X (non SCCA event) we used chalked lines, mainly because the time keeper is a member of SCCA and our track holds SCCA events all the time.

It might very well be different within local chapters of SCCA across the country

But oh well. I just misunderstood you, my apologies.

Nice pictures by the way! I miss Auto-X

Lines would be so nice. Its hard when you are going that fast to pay attention to cones. I might run this year but I am not sure if its worth it.

That video was taken by Lupe (gjpjr84 ) at Scion Exposed in Texas.. It was at the Texas Motor Speedway, in the back parking lot... It was called the "Fast Lap" I believe... It was fun riding in them...
