Default Scion tC TRD Supercharger almost here!!!

I had our parts manager check on the status of the updated TRD Supercharger for the 2007 tC.

There are 143 units scheduled to arrive in LA in three (3) weeks. There are a few region employees who already have them installed on their demo tC's.

just a FYI, hopefully this helps.

I think the next important question is... Is it going to give more power then the first S/C ???
I want a S/C that will at least compete with stage 0 turbo powerwise !

The cobalt ss/sc has a heat exchanger for their water to air intercooler. The radiator is behind it. :D

Hopefully the tC will be the same.

deffinetly would liek to see if they offer an add on intercooler. Although intercoolers have shown to not be good for this supercharger. I wonder what changes they made if they did add one.

Maybe it is not an IC at all... maybe it is a heat exchanger for a water to air IC just like the cobalt SS.

whats your guys' definition of a heat exchanger? i consider an intercooler a heat exchanger, as well as a radiator.

Heat Exchanger is used to transfer heat from fluids. IE: Air to Water
Intercooler is strictly Air to Air cooling.

The pictures posted further up are of an 06 tc with a one off intercooler owned by a dealership in CA. This is quickly turning into the same thread as the last 07 sc thread where it went nowhere and was alot of speculation with supposed proof.

went to the dealership today, and asked them about the supercharger.

and of course, they said NO.. they were looking at the old catalog, and said that there is no difference however in the 07 and 06, and that it will fit with no problem, and they will install and everything for $4500.

i really hate dealers.. im about to call TRD to say what they say.
