powdercoating and intercooler does not hurt the cooling capability AT ALL, its been dyno proven time after time..
and i must admit, that is the first time i have seen an intercooler powdercoated any other color than black, so thumbs up for that!!
also.. are turbo's fair game in AZ?

As to AZ making your car faster, it is actually harder to do it here than in some other states. Altitude is on the average of 800 to 1400 above sea level, the air is a little thinner.
The air temp is brutal, the air temp you see on the news is taken in the shade. When it is 115 degrees outside, trust me it much hotter than that. Sky Harbor International Airport stop taking off and landing at 118 degrees, tarmac temperatures on average 135 degrees, the air is so thin they have no lift to take off.
Humidity, 10 to 15%, not good for density, trust me, it is not easy to make power here.

As to the turbos in AZ, if the question is in reference to the number of turbo’s installed and if one manufacture seems to be the choice ticket. I would have to say not at this time, aside the Dezod, Turbonetics and the greddy kits. There are only a few turboed in the group, the rest are people that do not come to SCION club meets/posts, they hang with other clubs or only wanted them for more power for play.

Congrats on the kit... you can definatley get your heart racing seeing all that turbo stuff laying around.. but one question.. WTF happend to the turbo in this pic? It looks like some one dragged it on the cement for abit...

Thanks Billy, it is definitely looking like a fun weekend I am looking forward to this.
Billy I’m no expert on turbo housings or manufacturing, I’ll be the first one to admit that. Being that you are a very active member of SCION Life and I suspect that your name “Turboville” was well earned as a knowledge based resource in the forced induction forums, can I rely on your vast knowledge of turbos and/or resources at your disposal to find and provide an informative answer to your question?
