Default In search of tuner in NYC or Northern NJ area

I know this has been spoken about in other threads, I did search and read many but am looking for more specific info for the area. I'm doing my install soon and am looking for a good tuner, on which you have used and recommend, in my area. I was going to go to Ripp Mods in SI but their tuner is out of the country. They recommended a place DRT in Brooklyn but I don't know anything about the place or the people. I'd like to hear from you guys
1. Where you went?
2. What your numbers are after tune and at what psi?
3. How was your experience?
4. What pricing was like?
5. Have you gone else where to retune and found one better then the other?

As much as I'd like to; ptuning and dezod are both about 5hrs or more from me. I'd be a bit nervous making that trip.

If your serious about getting it tuned, just flatbed tow it. Why risk it, if you feel "nervous" about driving it. Problem solved...

Hahaha lmao you know how much it will cost to tow a car 5 hrs away from you.

Whether you're driving 5 hours or 1 hour, you're still driving while the car is untuned. Just get a base map, tune it to the point that it sits around 14.5-15 while cruising, and just take it slow.

Towing is not worth it money wise. Running a base map for a short trip is something I'm comfortable with. Traveling 5+hrs away on one isn't.

Your pretty much out of options then. It really is not that big of a deal to just throw on a basemap, tune cruise and idle, and stay out of boost. If your worried just retard 1* per psi of boost. What ECU are you running? If it is the FIC it is so easy to setup a basemap from scratch...

Obviously this guy isn't comfortable driving around, so it is either that or pay to have someone come to him. It is that simple...

call up Vinny Ten and ask him, hes in Long Island.
i'm not sure if he tunes FIC, but he does a great job tuning Hydra standalone EMS.
