NOTHING is legal in Cali.

I have been pulled over so many times that turbo almost seems not even worth the risk involved with a state ref etc etc.

haven't heard anybody complain about aftermarket kits in nevada, just look at olahalo, mr. meaty, and so on. but you might have better luck posting this question in the proper regional forum.
