Smell of Burnt Oil from Inside my Turbo
I removed the oil line coming from my turbo yesterday and got a strong wiff ofr burnt oil. I think this is bad sign right?
I looked into my intercooler pipe this weekend and saw no oil (kinda sutty though), I did a compression test last weekend and got between 170-180 on all cylinders, i have no check engine light or abnormal exhaust color. I do seem to have some shafty play, which I did not have a 6 months ago when i installed the kit.
I have had a different smell, more like burning rubber, coming from the car. I took a look at it recently and saw that thermo wrap on my return hose (rubber) kinda opeend up (it was wrapped around it) and the thermo wrap was no longer in the area between the o2 senor and the hose. So could the DP/o2 be burning oil in my return hose (which smell is coming up through my turbo).
Any advice or help would really be appreciated. Pretty concerned about this, especially has I just bought a clutch and a exhaust and was planning to get it returned for 8 psi (up from 6).
Thanks.

I don't use a turbo timer but i always wait at least 45 seconds at idle before turning the car off.
I also checked all my oil lines and fittings to the turbo and didn't see any blockages.
