Now I tightened the Turbo and seems fine. But I had a buddy of mine come down to take a look and he open my oil cap at idle and when that happened a bunch of pressure came out.... too much. Looks like I may have a bent piston ring cause I am gettin way to much "blow by". Looks like its time to build it

I believe I said it was either the seals or the oil rings

get the compression test and the cylinder leak down test performed ASAP

Maybe too much boost. If I go over 9.5 psi on the stock tune I start to creep over 11.5.

What afr did you have at 13psi wot in 3rd gear.

Good call Zach... weird this was that the same day it started smoking I checked the car for signs of blow by and seemed fine.

As for the A/F on 13psi I was still at 10 at WOT so I was still rich.

probably rings.

But, Another check for the blown head gasket is to look at the oil. If you got coolant in it, it will look like chocolate milk.

holy ****, I think thats a record lol. Thats not good at all. What could have been the cause of this? I'm sure the boost was not a problem, was it a bad tune?

Might turn this into stu gotti. It might not help with you being turboed at 13 psi but you might tell him anyway

Running rich the whole time. I was expecting to build my car in about 3 to 4 months.. not just yet. Maybe 13psi was too much but I expected it to be fine being some were running more and were fine

Oh I'm not saying that, I'm getting ready to run 12psi but I was just saying gotti's building a case about engine problems but everybody's was basically stock so I don't know how much help yours would be but I'd still tell him

I woulda kept it on 10psi daily driving. But I thought it wasn't bad to run rich tho. The 13psi daily probably was the problem. Hopefully its just the turbo thats messed up.

maybe the motor should have been broken in a little more before adding 13psi of boost!!

well at least now you get to build a beast of a motor!

I know there are people running 12psi daily with no problems and I'm planning on running 11 or 12. Maybe 12's the "magic number" you can't go past?

if you plan on boring it, you will have to sleeve it first. The aluminum block with the thin steel stock sleeves won't bore.
