Under spirted driving, it gets to about 5 on the EGT gauge. I will have to double check that for you though. Under normal driving, the needle barely moves.

**EDIT** Just went back to page 3 and watched that vid again, and the EGT read right under 5. Dosen't get any hotter than that. When you slow down, the needles starts to drop again.

I got vid, but my g/f's kid brother was a little shaky with the camera to catch it good enough. He shakes, and then like a Millimeter of a sec. after the shake, the puff of fire. You can her my g/f in the vid say "I saw it that time". It's not a big fire by any means, but one nonetheless. You can see the puff, but it's so fast, that it takes a quick eye to catch it (Martial Arts helps me with that.. ). We are going to the ghetto 1/8th track tonight, so hopefully we can get some good fire shots for you guys.

500 degrees? I take it the sensor is in the s-pipe or downpipe after turbo? That actually seems very cool. Perhaps you are running pig rich and the unburnt fuel is burning off in the exhaust. Tune that thing a little better and you will probably eliminate the fire and get a few more ponies out of it.

Exactly! I kinda like it rich although. Sounds rice, but fire is cool....heheee. Anyhow, yeah, Kenny said after we get use to being boosted, that he will do another tune and probably lean it out a little. We are pig rich to be on the safe side, as that's how ZPI tunes...."Optimum Reliable Killing Machines".

good deal. Have you dyno'd yet since it has been installed? I am curious to see the dyno before and after tuning to lean it out a bit.

You need to check that EGT Gauge, or put the probe somewhere else.. There is NO way you are running with 500 degree EGTs...
Where is the EGT probe located?
Just to let you know, alot of times if you are running pig rich your EGTs can be HOTTER than if you are running just slightly rich. This is due to the Exhaust Gasses catching on fire when they get into the Exhaust.

Are you impling that ZPI doesn't know how to hook up an EGT Gauge? Well, if they can't hook up my EGT right, then maybe they screwed up my Turbo Timer, my Boost Gauge.....HELL....THEY MIGHT HAVE INSTALLED THE WHOLE DAMN TURBO (which they produce) SYSTEM WRONG!!!! OH NO! What am I to do!

I'm sorry, I just wanted to clown.
