As for me 60 it was <6.472> It was funny that you mentioned the gear on my car. They made me wear a helmet and long sleaved shirt for my safety. I told them that I had side curtain airbags so I GUESS it was ok.

And sent me your e-mail nester so I can e-mail it to you.

good god that is a horible 60 foot time lol but the nice thing is if you can get your launch down expect some mid to low 1/4 times on 19" rims that would be awsome lol pull on rsx's in style

OMG 6.4? Did you slowly creep out of there? Do you know how to feather the clutch? IT takes experience but it seems you revved it to 6k and dropped the clutch, sat there and burned rubber. You said you have no experience drag racing so that seems fair. Try lowering your pressure on the tires to around 20psi and FEATHER the clutch out till you ahve traction. Learn2drive. I'm no expert either, I got a 16.09 on mine with a 2.4 60'.

^ I thought my 15.7 was bad... I only was able to get 1 run in, it was too cold for my girlfriend...
But i launched at 4k and feather'd the clutch, but ended up just dumping it. Burnout heaven.

he didnt say 60', just said 60 soooo he could have been talkin about 0-60 which at 6.472 sounds about right with his 1/4 times. It would be IMPOSIBLE to make a 14.8 1/4 mile if it took 6.5 sec to reach 60 feet. C'MON guys use ur heads

Umm, most timeslips are layed out like this...

Dont see a 60mph anywhere, although his slip could be different, we'll have to wait and see untill it uploaded.

Yeah that 6.4 must be his 0-60. Not sure how he would know that unless he has a gtech or whatever its called since 0-60 usually isn't on a time slip. If his 60ft time was a 6.4 and he still managed a 14.8 he must have a 10 second tc lol
Either way I'm glad to see the s/c tcs hitting the track.

in this ol' man's opinion... running 14's is what many of our cars did in the old days ( late 70's-early 80's ), and with mods we pushed into 11-12 range. Now my wife's car w/ sc will run similar to what my camaro did in HS, yet gets twice the gas mileage, always starts, has a warranty, and can even be driven in snow....
how I miss those days...

I doubt i'd ever take her car to a track, and with the low 1st this thing's got, good starts seem to be an aquired talent. But these should run low-mid 14's all things considered; and with the mods listed on this site( i.e. pulley change, exhaust, better tires, etc ) 13's should be readily available. And that in a front driver can be as much fun as waiting for the secondaries to open up, rear end kicking out, and hanging on 'til the end ( again, those were the days... )

I pulled a 2.2 60' on the stock tires, without dropping the tire pressure.

If you're not under 2.4, then you need to practice.

Hmmmmmm....So you had a track day with your SC Tc..i'm assuming it's manual...and ran with 19's, an 150+ lb box for subs...tsk tsk. Try running like 15's on radials or slicks and gut the car. Put some real numbers to make a stand for SC tc.

i like the fact that he ran the car as he drives it and still got a decent number. Adding slicks on 15's and gutting the car out doesnt show what his everyday driven car can do.

MY MISTAKE my 60' was 2.237.... my slip says dial first so I miss read the 60'' time. I'm trying to take a pic of the slip but its coming out all fuzzy so bear with me while I locate a scanner. As for tire pressure..... well didn't know bout that
Oh well I did say it was my first time. I drive this car everyday and I wanted to see what it does as is. Now on the 14th of January I will be going back and after a little practice with stock 17" on drag radials, ZPI Boost pulley, Crank Pulley, Bosch 110 sport BPV.... and I'll be taking my box out. Just for the run. I need my tunes

Default A good first trip

"The mile per hour" shows how much power your making ,for the most part, even if you sit there spinning your wheels for a second or 2. im sure the supercharger added "mile per hour" to your pre-supercharger runs.

The E.T. is how well you got the power to the ground.

100 lbs out of the car will get you to the end of the quarter mile 1 tenth of a second sooner....no need to remove the interier, just make a 15.0 into a 14.9.

Best 60 foot i ever got was a 1.4 WITH SLICKS ! ....FLOOR MATS AND TRUNK CARPET ROLLED BACK ! you remember that stuff. on my way to a 10.4@143mph.

These are not drag cars, your gunna hurt something if you try for hard 60 foots, get a clean run and "adjust" for 2 second 60 foots.

Like you said, wheel hop is horrible.....and hurts the car bad.

14s good time

I did a burnout to the 60' and finally caught traction, my Trap speed is fastest Ive seen on SL.
89.28 MPH, hopefully 14s in spring...

I went to the track with my tc completely stock and ran in the low 16's for a while until i learned to launch at around 3500 and FEATHER the clutch just right...

my 60' time wasn't bad on my best run of the night 2.2...

best time on the night stock was a 15.91 which i didn't think was too bad either for a stock car... wheel hop sucks in this car if you let off the clutch too fast!!!

Nu_ERA,

Do you have new springs and shocks when you went to the track?

Just curious.
