Default SoCal Super Chargers...

Anybody here in southern California have a super charger on an automatic tC???

If so, please post up, i have a huge question to ask

Ok, here is my problem, I am getting a used S/C and am going to have it installed soon but he has a manual and I have an auto so I need to borrow somebodys ECU Re flash chip thing. I only need to borrow it for about a day. I will give it back in perfect working order and I can even give you some type of collarteral if you would like but I need to borrow one asap.

Thankyou everyone

i dont think i understand what you mean by ecu reflash chip thing. for the auto, you need the same trd reflash module for the manual. the only difference is that you need to hook up the car to the TIS (technical information system) machine and download a file off their site which uploads to the ecu regarding the new shift points for the auto. im sure you know this, but just in case, the kit doesnt come with a reflashed ecu - you use your existing ecu and reflash it. can you be a little more detailed about what youre talking about. thx.

Well the guy who is installing it works at the dealer ship and he said I need to borrow some type of software im guessing then that is specific for the Auto, Im not exactly sure what it is called then. I think its the ECM Map Module for an automatic.

ooo! the little box you attach to the data transfer device! lol. my bad - forgot about that. i dont believe it's transmission specific tho as they come with all s/c kits. you should be able to borrow one from anyone with a manual or auto. someone correct me if im wrong here. thx.

wow, be very careful buying a used trd supercharger pal. they are problematic enough brand new.

now here is the problem, the ecu reflash is the same for both manual and auto, the thing is there is a different kind of fitting for the auto tc's that you can get off of www.trdsparks.com

http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1071

also, trd superchargers for 05-06 are different for the 07. so a s/c for an 05/06 can't work on an 07 tc, and neither can an s/c for 07 work on an 05/06. make sure you chekc for this!

The reflash module that came with the new kit can only be used once. Once it is downloaded to a ECU, the module is empty. So if you are buying a used S/C, you need to buy another module to download it to your vehicle. It would be lesss headache and maybe cheaper if you buy a new unit to begin with.
