Default SoFloTC destroyed manifold FIXED lol.

ok so i just got my car back finally the other week from the tranny swap.. as most of you may know.. and now i run into this

CLEAN break.. ALL THE WAY AROUND.. the turbo is only sitting up cuz of the downpipe holding it now.. this is the 2nd dezod manifold ive been through..clearly log style sucks ___ and i need an EL mani one that mounts from the bottom so it holds it up like elevationTC's... i have no way to get to school or work now.. and i have no idea what to do here.. the manifold was clearly defective or something to break all the way around.. and this happened on a quick drive to CVS across the street.. how retarded.. im gonna try and get a custom manifold made and new 3" DP along with it.. this is ridiculous.. i dont have any funds for it right now though and my mother is freaking out saying "put it to stock or sell it" .. god knows whats going to happen.. and i cant get triple A to tow me anywhere cuz "im to low" wtf?! what should i dooo, and yes the copper gasket from dezod also leaks like a ****... even with their comp mani bolts and sticky crap on the gasket lol

Good luck to you!

All in all - not to be mean or anything - but thats not that big of a deal - id tow it home and reweld the manifold - 2-3 hrs work at best - than get a replacement ordered in. This is relatively minor compared to all the things ive seen go wrong on turbo cars (internals). If you cant weld/dont have a welder i know it makes things a bit more difficult - but still have it towed home and take the turbo and mani off - takes 30min - 1hr than take the mani in the am to an exhaust shop - theyll weld it for $40-60 than bring it home and reinstall (another 30min-1hr) and than have dezod get you a replacement

As ghetto as i am - not wanting to pay a tow bill - id take my mig and my lil honda generator to my car, field weld it as best as possible (prob multiple point tack) than exhaust wrap the gap to keep the carbon from covering everything in the engine bay and drive it home on low throttle - granted itll run rich as hell so this is only good for 5-10 miles at best

this is my 2nd dezod mani.. both cracked.. clearly i dont want a replacement from them, and last time it cracked paul wouldnt even replace it he just gave me a discount which was bs anyway, so ive had 2 broken mani's, 1 blown turbo, a bent mani gasket in the mail that leaks terribly from dezod.. im losing faith.. i love paul and there customer service but im slowly losing faith.. faith in everything right now lol... this car is the devil..

thats a feasible option and a relatively "quick" fix so you can go back and forth from school and work.

good luck bud.

No reason to give up..

You need a good quality manifold! i Support dezod in many ways. but ive seen many issues with turbos and manifold from them..

I can have you a high quality manifold made..

let me know if i can help..

Keep ur head up you have come a long way.

And "some" will say your egts were to high

Its a custom made manifold. 10g SS. I can put you in contact with the guy who made my whole kit! He is a perfectionist! And has great pricing!

If you seen my car in person and seen the quality of his work its amazing!

click the link in my profile for rdfabs.com

Email him, his name is ryan. Just tell him u have a tc and mike sent you!

You will NOT be dissapointed! Even the guys at cft said its one of the nicest looking kits they have seen!

what ever route you choose i really hope that you consider your options and make a wise desision. Based on your previous doings. building the auto then swapping manual seems like you do things on the impulse..

Really think this one through and make sure you end up with a quality fix. Thats not going to leave you stranded! Imagine this happening on a trip or at the track!

hey Guys.

As a fellow boosted tc owner i know the hardships. Do Not give up ive been through 2 greddy manifolds in 3.5 years and 60k miles. but i gotta say the tc is a champ i have 89k miles on my car curently and have tracked the car over 30 drag passes and one road race track event. my car burns almost no oil (maybe 1/4 qt every 5-6000 miles. still on the original turbo and the same ACT clutch. i know the feeling of being two low to get towed also. try taking the front bumper off and using some long boards to get it up on a tow truck.

after all the cash youve dropped into your ride a cracked mani seems like a relatively minor and cheap fix. Keep the faith

yeah dont give it up man, you've done built auto tranny and manual swap which is crazy expensive, do that getto welding for now, run open downpipe so less load will be on the manifold.. or maybe some cheap bracket support on the manifold flange
