the jackson-dawson tc has a trd water-air intercooler in it, so the product is done and being used, but who knows if it'll be available to the public

so many ironic posts in this thread. I love readin old threads that promise so much, and everyone has these amazing sources and think they know people. And very rarely does any of it ever happen.

THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!! An intercooler has shown to be a HORRIBLE idea for our s/c cars.

...then why is the jackson-dawson tc using a trd water-air intercooler?

Only air to air fmic has shown to be of no benefit. Liquid to air would work especially one that requires no external airflow like the one on the JD tC or the PWR Liquid to Air Barrel Intercooler (second from the bottom)
The only problem with the fmic is the length of pipe the air has to pass thru.

Yes he is and it works, Dan said they are going into production, but he did not know when or how much they would be, if anybody plans on running one of those, you need to have the car tuned, its not a slap on drive away kind of mod.

But that is not the style intercooler being discussed. And is not the style that countless supercharger owners have hoped/tried for.

A barrel cooler would be awesome. And has been done. But TRD will never put one into production.

FMICs have been tried and have lost so much boost on every tC it has been on. It wont happen from TRD ever. And very doubtful that it will happen from an aftermarket company. because anyone that would buy it would be buyign for looks alone. Performance would not be there.

its just not worth the money for a intercooler for the trd sc the sc its the lowest class of vortech. i would just go with meth rather then an intercooler.. just my 02 cent....
