I spoke with the manufacturers at great length, and they said in the area of $1400 or less. I might be able to do a GB when it's ready and get it down to $1250 or something.

How soon will these be ready paul? We have spoken with you a few times about the AEM EMS. Or is this a option we should explore for our demo car?

it's priced right where I expected it to be...plus your gonna have to find a tuner for it...but I still like it! Let's see some results!

I will be able to e-tune it so long as you are connected to a wi-fi or internet connection

Now that is scary! So Dezod is going to get everyone to buy this unit so that they can set all our governors to 35mph until way pay a bajillion dollars!!

I do give it props on the wi-fi but I am a little concerned about security of said connection. Are encrypted passwords involved for map and setting changes? Can it accept connections for WEP and WPA/WPA2? what options do we have for wired tuning?

And are changes immediate or does the engine have to be off to update? What kind of logs are available to get you the needed info to retune from a remote location?

That's all i can think of at the moment....

well, it's not like I can take the wi-fi from my house on the road, and it's not like a local shop is gonna let you run on their dyno, on their wi-fi while we are paying someone else to tune it...what am I missing here?

I mean, if we were going to pay dezod for this unit, and pay dezod for a tune, that would mean we are running on the street and we would need the unit connected to our phone acting as a wi-fi modem?

hey captain paranoid...the unit itself is not wifi...but your laptop connected to it would be.

all told as a previous person mentioned that would be good for base tunes...then i imagine you'd have to drive, datalog, talk to paul and re-up...ok for base tune but clumsy for refining. and don't even think about plugging in a 3g/edge card and strapping your laptop down...if i was paul i'd charge you by the hour for that nonsense.
